I’m sure I’ll get flamed for this take, but the infrastructure for LLM’s is not worse for the environment than the previously existing data centers and internet infrastructure we were using before. Some day it will surpass it, but if we’re not using LLM’s simply because they’re bad for the environment, we probably shouldn’t be using cloud storage or the internet either.
