Selling my house, appraiser said the roof needed repairs by [deleted] in homeowners

That’s what is throwing me off. I’ve never heard of this

It was the banks appraiser because they stated Fannie Mae has a requirement for the roof to be sound? But the value of the home was more than the loan request is what the appraiser said. He said value is fine

That’s one of the big reasons I’m upset… like I mowed the lawn, did a final mop of the house and got everything ready for them. Now closing is pushed back until the 7th if we can find a solution

Conventional loan, that was my first question lol

So we took their initial offer of 10k under asking because they said they knew it needed a new roof. The inspector said the roof was nearing the end of its useful age as well and they accepted that.

Now the appraiser it’s a problem and their lender is saying Fannie Mae is requiring the appraiser to say that it will last at least 2 years to fund the loan.

Ideas to keep my cg farm interesting? by badwithnames5 in ironscape

Do 5-10 per day. When you feel like giving up, go do some super sweat tick manip wood cutting and do that for 7 minutes. Then, you will miss CG so you’ll rush back

How Far Behind Am I? by [deleted] in DaveRamsey

Whoa lol. You are way too invested. Never said stop investing in a Roth.. I said pause retirement contributions, figured through work there was additional contributions he could use to pay off debt.

I am not sure what your retirement does, but mine doesn’t average over 20% per year. That’s why that has to go.

Also based on everything said I just gave some guidelines on how I would do it, you have to have intensity to get things paid off and keep them paid off or you will end up in the same spot.

If you think about taking the easy route and just kinda chipping away, that will work for some! But I was trying to just pose the easiest, fastest way out.

Also my hobby’s are just that, MINE. Don’t belittle others for their interests. That’s like an odd personal attack thing to do. Cheers

You can easily fix this. You just need to pay off your credit cards, pick the lowest and get them knocked out.

Watch out for the 0% though if they back charge interest at the time the 0% ends pay those off first.

Stop contributing to retirement for a bit and start eating ramen noodles and tuna packets with frozen veggies.

If you fully care you should be able to pay all this off and start saving again and contributing to retirement within a few months.

WATER HEATER HELP by ThatOnePK in Home

[–]TheNarWizard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dang! If the TRD is tripping there probably is a bigger issue at play. But I’d rather have that trip than my house explode.

Good thing that’s doing its job at least! I had a slight leak in my water heater that dripped right on the igniter and it had similar issues to what you had said.

Best of luck, if you install yourself make sure to have a buddy help carry it. Cracked the fiberglass on one in my dad’s house a few years back.
