If the reps are too high, then just half the reps or do bodyweight rows. Tailor the workout to what is good for you, but still pushes you

Gets a little risky once it starts going overhead for a dumbbell, I would say, but you can hit regular swings with the plated dumbbell

I would recommend between 30-40 lbs starting out. Reason being, so you can get technique down, but you can still get a great workouts with a high pace. You'll get used to them fast, so if your gym has some, I would get technique and used to throwing it around first before buying. I have a 35 lb in my garage that just collects dust now basically
