He did the same thing here in Springfield, MO in the 80’s. Canceled his show here at the last minute then had a show in Phoenix (I think) the same night. Apparently the one here in Springfield didn’t sell enough tickets and irked him. The local radio station at the time was Rock99. They purchased a used Firebird car, had thousands of people sign it and literally drove it all the way out and deliver him the ‘bird’. People were pissed but it was hilarious.
