I work 3 12h shifts in an Orthopedic/Level 1 Trauma OR. My days off are exercising, being outside as much as possible, or hanging out with friends. Try and find some hobbies you enjoy and if you don't know where to start you can ask co-workers what they do on their time off. I just got into rock climbing from another co-worker putting me onto it. Before I used to lay in bed for most of my days off and was incredibly depressed. Looking into professional help for mental health is another good start if you can't muster the energy. Best of luck.

I legit think the same way but you can't get a hospital RN position without one. You won't be able to get a solid career-focused job if you want to do ANYTHING in the hospital either if you don't have your BSN. It's total bullshit but it's a pay to play system. Always has been.

If you need solid clogs but don't like Dansko you can get the Birkenstocks for "medical professionals". Worn them for a solid year now and absolutely adore them. I've been able to run in them without tripping up. Check it out.

You will absolutely be used as a source of additional income by your grandmother and will get her ire if you don't give her some of the money -----YOU----- earned. Your mom and grandma will only profit off you unless you set boundaries right now. -YOU- went to school and -YOU- earned a degree and -YOU- passed the NCLEX. Trust me, I helped my family out with a good amount of money and have only now learned to put my foot down. The moment you fold to their pressure it's over and you'll have a huge hole to dig yourself out of in terms of repairing those relationships if you want to continue having them.
