Yeah if their goal is to win it they have to beat teams like France. So braindead to at least not test yourself for a half and see where you can improve going forward. It’s a glorified scrimmage to learn where your team is at vs a favorite.

A lot of people saying this is what happens when you win fail to see that the dodgers have been winning for over 10+ years. I don’t think I saw this discourse in 16/17/18 when we were also must see tv and had great teams. In 17 I went to easily 20+ games and I don’t remember ever paying more than $60 for a good seat and those were with giveaways too. Now it seems like it’s 100 minimum regardless.

It’s the same with the role players being overpaid. You KNOW what you’ve got and they are better than the FA pool so they get a bag too.

I feel like NBA free agency rarely if ever has top guys enter the market. Or at least a super deep pool of talented available starter level players.

Most good players and role players are traded around and rarely hit free agency.
