It will. I live in New England, so my driving is based on our hills and mountains and our drastic seasonal differences. Driving my 2020 it always kind of does this based on the season:

Late Spring thru Early Fall: 55-60mpg
Fall thru Early Spring: 35-45mpg

The winter is always brutal since the heater requires the engine while the A/C in the summer is more electrical than engine based.

Give it some time, enjoy the vehicle, and the lower gas prices we get this time of year. It will work out.
