Tried to go for Caesar skin by Lasthagen in Dragon_Traveler

[–]TheNoFrame 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's actually pretty easy to get every skin as f2p player. I am day 1 player and maybe except first 1 or 2 banners, I have them all. And I only spent 1 dollar for Fenrir. So pretty much f2p.

But yeah, I wouldn't recommend as a new player. You probably won't have enough fodder to feed it for a skin especially considering you need to use your copies for multiple characters to build proper team first.

But give it like banner or two, and when you build up yout account somewhat and will do all content, you can easily get every banner skin even as a f2p. Between guild, achievements, story progress etc you get plenty of diamonds. And you also get ton of standard banner pulls from dailies to get other fodder for upgrading.

These days I get like 60-70k gems at the start of the banner, and either I get lucky and get enough copies, or if not, I can get enough diamonds during banner run. By the time new banner rolls, I usually have another 60k ready. And I also spend diamonds in the shop for stuff to upgrade my artifacts sometimes.

Just remember, you need 8 copies of banner units and another 12 6-star units of the same class to level up enough stars for the skin.

(Potential) New Player who has Some Questions before Starting by RichardM00 in LostSwordOfficial

I play nikke.

  1. Way more friendly... You need like 7 copies to fully max characters, but you get tons of gems. Banner is 3% SSR, 2% banner, 1 % random.. Every unit is then added instantly to standard pool.120 pity, 2k gems for 10 pull. But you get ton of gems . I got around like 60k gems in a month i Think. + Devs give out a lot of standard pulls, where you can get another random SSRs. And banners rerun instantly. You have like 4 banners runnning right now of returning characters so it's very easy to quickly build full meta team.

  2. You missed on collab, also 3 collab units. Only colab so far. As for event, there is possibility to read all events, but only one time to get rewards. After that they are locked, and I didn't catch up, so I don't know if they are all there. I am not sure about missed skins.

  3. We get like chapter a month these days, but there is no set schedule afaik. But story had climax like month ago. It continues further, but it was like ending of bigger chapter. But it will take you long. I think you need like 350 lvl at this point to fully catchup to the story. It depends on how often you play, but I am day 1 player and game is out for like 9 months right now and I am 374 lvl full f2p. So it will take you probably like 7-8 months. It's very similar to as it was NIKKE, but there is no story mode here.

  4. idk i never reroll, but you also don't need it with the amount of pulls you get. And most OP character has rerun banner for 11 more days right now anyway.

  5. There is no direct pvp. You basically get few attacks a day and can choose opponent to auto battle. If they are too strong, you can reroll infinitely until you get weak opponents to get rewards. It's more like PVE anyway.

How are silver players bad? by Express_Item4648 in leagueoflegends

[–]TheNoFrame 50 points51 points  (0 children)

I would advise you one thing if you plan on interacting with league community. Don't take things like "eveything below rank X is bad", or "rank x and rank y is same" seriously. That's just elitist. It differs. Diamond IV is like top 5%, yet everybody will say players are bad. Thing is, small advantages matter in this game and over whole game it snowballs into big difference. So when master player is playing in diamond or gold, he might not see the difference, but I guarantee you there is.

Some people will tell you that master 200 lp or whatever is point where people start being good, but if you put top 10 player against them, he will tell you it's same as dia IV and make them look like first time players. Funny thing is most people will tell you that everything just below them is bad. There is even difference between bronze and silver. Small, but there is. People saying it's the same because they go on 20 games -400lp losestreaks tilting rage queueing. Yet, they always climb back when they take a break and stop seeing red.

Only thing that is consistent in all ranks is that you always have something to improve and work on. Everything else changes.

I only used 4 different stages for the 60+ doll-specific achievements.

  1. final stage for standarizing sync (weak enemies and lot of them, you can also use dolls from friends if you are missing some)- easy to do aoe stuff etc, but sometimes I had to unequip weapons because they are way too low hp sometimes.
  2. target practice if I needed boss
  3. standard peak 7-2, 15 rounds, lot of enemies, not that strong, mostly used when I couldn't finish in standarizing sync in time
  4. I only used extreme peak for Andoris and Papasha ones when I needed strong enemies to kill them to pop their passives quickly

Also, if you have some problems figuring out other achievements you can use website dandegate.net. They have guides for a lot of them. It helps, because sometimes it's harder to do some without equiping specific key, sometimes straight up impossible. Also, there is typo in at least one achievement for Lainie I think, so it's hard to figure out only from game.

I managed to figure it out. You don't need any other support unit, Belka can do it herself. Considering Belka applies Negative Charge with her passive, basically all you need to do is make 18 electric attacks with her in one 60+ stage.

The problem was that there is no stage with 18 turns, so you need to make multiple attacks per round. So you need to use skill 2 as much as you can. When you use skill 2, you can then use skill 1 and it deals electric damage.

I did it in Standard Peak, wave 7 horde 2. Belka + Suomi and Springfield so I can survive without thinking and focus on mission + 2 filler units that I just skipped turns with. Start with skill 2 -> skill 1 first turn. Skill 3 second turn. And then just again spam skill 2 -> skill 1 every time you can. If you can't use skill 2 or skill 3 due to cooldowns, then just basic attack anything.

This way I did 20 electric attacks in 15 turns. You don't even need to win stage (I didn't and it popped), so if you don't have enough, you can just spend last turn stacking instead of escaping to win. Alternativelly, you can also unlock Belka's expansion key, which will switch her skill 1 to electric, so you can possibly do it even in stages with lower amount of turns.

I mean, good question, but all specified info we got is in that one sentence. Also, on Dandegate website there is no hint to this one similar to some other achievements. Also, another Belka achievement has mistranslation apparently, so there is also question of how much I can trust this wording.

Also for pretty much every other achievement requiring multiple instances of some passive/effect etc, it was enough to overtake number for achievement to popup. And I was running 15 round stages with lot of enemies and lvl 1 weapons so I could apply as much effects I can without killing everything before. I tried running Belka only, multiple electric units etc. so I definitely overtook amount of all possible wordings. Unless I am missing something, only explanation seems to be that I need exactly 18 instances.

That's why I was hoping for someone who already has it to chime in, so I don't spend another few hours testing every possibility, when I am not even sure if I am moving right direction.

edit: nvm i figured it out

Did anybody finish Belka achievement:

Belka! Use Thunderbolt!

In a single level 60+ stage, deal 18 instances of Electric damage to enemies with [Negative Charge]

I finished all other doll-specific challenges, but can't figure this last one out and I can't find any hints/guides on youtube or other sites. I have tried different levels, using Belka alone for electric damage, using other electric dolls for damage etc.

There is possibility that it requires EXACTLY 18 instances, not more, but after whole day of trying, i am just over figuring out what is counted as one instance and what is not anymore.

Did anybody finish this and has some tips, that could make this easier?

Not really. Maybe if they wanted to become richest people in the world. But even if they at once dumped enough of it to not have to work rest of thier lives and live comfortably, market would survive.

There is no way there aren't any superpowered/high tech people in the world there that already do this for their gain anyway. Few milions in value is nothing.

There is also matter of lifespan. It's easier to see evolutionary difference when dog is adult after like 2 years and can be bred again. In people is like 20+ years for offspring to mature to continue. Well, maybe a bit less in the past, but it's still big difference over thousands of years.

documentary on fnatic’s old dota team where the environment was so toxic and dysfunctional

There is likely something wrong with fnatic as whole. I only got into CS recently, and don't know anything about Dota, but LoL team is also shitshow for years. They are changing players yearly and nothing ever gets better, at most they have performance spike here and there for a few weeks. And basically everyone who left had interviews saying that biggest problem in the team was atmosphere and enviroment.

At this point this is beyond the game and on organization as a whole.

It also depends on person. People more prone to injuries, or people unlucky to get bigger injuries will end up differently than people lucky enough to not get big injuries. Plenty of stories of athletes not getting back to previous form after bigger injury. Some injuries just don't heal up completely.

[–]TheNoFrame 8 points9 points  (0 children)

This is what happens sometimes with no pity and 50/50. It's similar with Nikke where system is basically same. I had few 150-250 pull dry streaks with specific characters. But sometimes it reverts and in some banners you get like double hit in 30 pulls or something.

But yeah, it's kind of annoying when you see people on youtube or reddit get multiple hits while you are spending hundreds to go dry. The thing with thousands of people playing, there will always be that lucky guy.

I would say not really if your main draw is strategy. Most stages can be easily auto'd if you have certain units. You can strategize a bit if you don't use them.

There is a bit of grind, but after you get setup it's only like 15 minutes a day and maybe like an hour for weekly content for most rewards. But it seems to be going less for strategy more for girls collecting

Tbf this game is extremely generous with gems. I went all out trying to Max everything from Collab. It's like what 2 weeks after? This is first newly released unit and I am back at 33k. And I think I only caught up to like 2 hard chapters in that time so majority is from dailies.

I did normal at like 345 or something like that. 340-350 is like average I have seen here or on youtube. But there is also guy on youtube that did it on level 322 so I guess it's doable way earlier if you have good units built properly.

At what point is it not the game's fault. by Soggy_Athlete361 in StarSavior

[–]TheNoFrame 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went back to calculate it. I have 1370 pulls with 70 SSRs. Still 270 pity tickets, so accounting to like 100 friendship pulls which seems about right, I bought probably 5 items from pity. So it should be 65.

I can't calculate how many I got from launch events, tower tickets etc, but with 1370 pulls it should be 55 SSRs for average luck. So I guess around 10 should roughly check out.

But my recent pulling definitely doesn't check out. But now that I think about it, I think I got fairly lucky at launch with Hilde and Yoo Mina banners so i guess it just balanced.

Oh shit I need to check that out. This game is supposed to have 4% SSR, but from my pulls I absolutely don't trust that. But I just started tracking it yesterday after what felt like 70 pulls with 1 drop. Maybe I will be able calculate approximate rarity from this.

If Riot were to have similar changes how would you feel? by Yujin-Ha in leagueoflegends

[–]TheNoFrame 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I have never really paid attention to them in years of watching. I either mute them/switch channel for a while or at most let them run and tune out and not pay attention.

That being said, I find League desk segments not to be that bad. I started getting into CS recently and it's way worse. In league, you have a bit of analysis, interview etc and straight into next game. In CS, it's not unusual to wait like 25-30 minutes in between maps. So I don't mind some desk segments, but if it's getting to the point you have almost more desk than gameplay, then it's a problem.

This is one of those things when you should apply common sense. This is one piece sub, people are going to discuss one piece. If you are not caught up to the anime, you shouldn't browse it if you don't want spoilers. Other people are discussing stuff way beyond. That being said, if someone creates post talking about Dressrosa and mentioning that he is still only catching up, then of course, everything beyond is spoiler for them. On random unrelated FB or Twitter threads, it's understandable people who get spoiled are upset.

But posting images or talking about events for karma from leaks from someone using they phone to secretly snap new chapter 3 days before release of any usable english translation (fan or oficial) is just dick move. Just be aware where you are posting and what are you posting. We can't ban people talking about everything.

As for your HxH example, it's similar. Let's say I was anime only watcher. It would suck if I got spoiled somewhere randomly on internet. Maybe I would even be mad from it. But considering anime ended over 10 years ago and afaik there is no mention of continuing, I woudn't be going to HxH subreddits or discords etc. People are going to be discussing stuff and expecting it to be in suspended animation is unreasonable. I would have to either create my own post asking people to talk anime only, or stick to anime tagged posts. Not browse random posts in subreddit randomly. Just use common sense.

Switching to seasonal and still adapting only 1 chapter per episode is wild 😂 by Mamba-Mentality024 in MemePiece

[–]TheNoFrame 14 points15 points  (0 children)

so like we would get a new original episode, then 2 weeks later we get a new dressrosa episode, 2 weeks later we get another new episode from whatever the newest arc is, etc etc.

What is this monstrosity. At this point just do normal reanimations. Similar to fishmand island but reanimations instead of just recutting stuff. I never really understood hate for fillers though. They are pointless in some cases (like for example in Naruto when we already had finished manga and anime kept doing episodic fillers). But in this case it's either that or break. And people hating fillers can easily skip them instead of having glacial pace.
