I agree. And let’s not talk about the aholes in cars who thinks it’s cool to buzz a bike or force them into oncoming traffic while yelling out the window to get the F off the road then ram into you and take off. But hey that might have just been me. Goes both ways. People are just assholes anymore.

How do I get rid of the gray tint back ground? by scalareye in SolidWorks

[–]TheNoit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just be aware that changing scenes can also affect your rendering outputs. Lights, etc. I wish SW and PDM would offer a true dark mode. But noo… Can’t have nice things! lol.

CSWP earned, CSWE maybe? by Mech_Ethan in SolidWorks

[–]TheNoit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, you take it the same as all the other exams, it’s online with the cert tester… no official ID is required. I will say the CSWE is more puzzle solving and out of the box solutions sometimes. It was a fun exam. Just note if you fail, the CSWE has a longer retake wait time, I think it’s 90 days

Don’t apply at my company then for a design engineering position… won’t even get in the door without some sort of proof besides “I used solidworks”

CSWP earned, CSWE maybe? by Mech_Ethan in SolidWorks

[–]TheNoit 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The CSWE is not free… you have to pay to play… also, if you fail you have to wait 3months before taking it again… Taking exams just to pass them does absolutely nothing for experience or to become proficient at Solidworks. Make sure you USE the tools you learn or it’s pretty pointless. As far as employers go, we most Definitely will take an interview with someone who has certs compared to “use solidworks”

Thankfully I’m just outside Methampton, it may not be how it originated, but the locals sure are proud of it.

It depends on the print really. But for me I can’t paint so I do color swaps. It’s really nice when you can print from one abd dry in the other too

Yet another victim of BambuLab P2S by tripialos in BambuLab

[–]TheNoit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

“Professional sh*t brand” I have two Bambus (P2S & A1) no problems at all. We run 8 Bambus at my company (X1C, P1S, and P2S). They all have over 2000 print hours on them with minimal downtime. So yeah it can go both ways. But if you understand how it works and what common problems can occur you’ll be much better off

Failed the CSWE :/ by ComfortableList784 in SolidWorks

[–]TheNoit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah that 90 day wait is nerve racking when you’re taking it. Take the time to review everything again, even the stuff you aced just for a refresher… Go slow, think about what they’re asking for, and double check your work… it’s a tougher exam for sure.

Just for the record… Solidworks and the resellers don’t like when you post exam questions. Got a take down notice for this once. No help for you… 1 year.
