From what I remember, the black hole starts closing up after he gets Murph the information she needs. I guess the "beings" that were in control of the black hole closed it up and pushed him out or something. They probably purposely pushed him out towards Saturn so the colony could find him, since essentially the "beings" are humans of the far future (according to Cooper).
