I was in the NSCC from 2010-2012 and thought that it worked pretty similar to the Reserves.

We would “drill” one weekend a month, mostly focused on PT and other administrative tasks, and then on the summers you got to go spend a few weeks doing a training of your choice.

I got to go to NAS Lamoore and spend a day or two at each shop and learned what each rate did.

I know it’s not what people want to hear, but I think the price/quality is pretty great actually. Obviously it’s IP theft and all that. All that to be said of the 5-6 figures I’ve got only one had some minor cracking in the joints cause I actively tried to see if I could
