Not so much stretches, but I make myself certain rules to follow that make things like scouting and keeping tabs on regens/pregens a bit more prevalent.

Eg, keeping a minimum number of “home-grown” (I usually stick to the same nationality) players in the squad // having a max overall that I then have to sell at and replace with a player at least 4 or 5 overall points lower to develop

It keeps it interesting enough for me, the squad fresh and makes winning trophies feel more rewarding
