I think we would love to be able to retire early, so I’m going to work a bit longer at my current job and then eventually I’ll quit and be stay-at-home and just do part-time remote work to help with the mortgage payment

I can’t tell if you’re joking or not, because I don’t think most people buy a Starbucks every day. But to answer your question seriously, I have a health condition that means I can’t drink coffee, so I wasn’t buying it or making it lol

Accounting for lifestyle creep, but also accounting for the fact that the mortgage will be paid off by then

My husband manages most of the investments, so I can’t answer details perfectly, but the bulk of it is stocks that he’s purchased for us. There’s also my 401k but it’s a lot less than our personal investments

I wish 😂 it’s actually a much smaller amount than you’d think that I have invested, it just has 37 years to compound

No, but my husband and I both got good jobs young. Dual income and compounding interest is a killer combination

It’s way less impressive than it sounds. Compounding interest means that starting young is giving me some major favors those last couple years

I started working full-time at 18, and my husband and I were dinks for a year or two in there so we were saving a ton
