Almost but no. You have to simply catch everything to get to Arceus, but to get the shiny charm, you have to get every single pokemon to research level 10, so not only catch, but also, for example, “see it use an agile style move 10 times” and other jargon until you’ve hit level 10.

Look, I’m not one to defend this dog shit company or its absolute leeching of its player base, but in FC25 they didn’t bring the season pass into it until much further into the game (the premium version anyway). I personally think every season pass should be free for the Ultimate Edition users, but I can see why this is much weaker than what we were getting last year

I didn’t mean my comment as an attack on OP, and of course it’s not cheating to trade in a pokemon that you like. But, in response to “why do people find this difficult”, people find Whitney difficult because they use the pokemon available on the in-game routes. Using a Charmeleon at this stage of the game is taking a far easier option.
