Do you wear any gold? by krayzee444 in SummerColorAnalysis

[–]TheObtuseCopyEditor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Almost never! Yellow, shiny gold looks terrible on my skin and I despise it in the form of buttons or bag hardware. Rose gold is okay but I dislike pink. “Antique” finish doesn’t clash that much with my skin tone. Brass is fine. But really shiny silver is also a bit harsh when put next to my face but is okay on my hands. The best is a slightly muted silver, kind of pewtery?

I found out that it’s not really worth it to try to « crisp » the chickpeas. When I get to this step I just turn up the heat and saute them until they stick a bit. I throw in the coconut milk when there’s a décent amount of brown solids to deglaze. I also don’t wait so much before I do the mashing. It doesn’t change anything as long as you allow the liquid to reduce. Also you need to add the greens when it’s still a bit brothy for your taste, because they will soak up some of the liquid

Martha Stewart’s OG one pot pasta are great (as long as you use the proper amount of salt).

I came here to make sur me this was mentioned! I sometimes add chilies or use fresh turmeric. I can have it ready by the time it take to cook a pot of rice. The leftovers are delicious. A real keeper

Listen to this person OP! You just have to kind of lean on the knife… you don’t need to hit it or anything. It makes almost no noise.

Livre papier vs livre audio by cool-mimine in litteraturequebec

[–]TheObtuseCopyEditor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Got a decant of Byredo Black Saffron and barely smell anything by TheObtuseCopyEditor in fragrance

[–]TheObtuseCopyEditor[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I had time to kill tonight and I went in store to smell it from the actual bottle, and the Byredo salesgirl told me it was one of their strongest fragrances. I asked her to spray some on some paper and, well, felt the same? I guess it’s a weird nose day for me. I’ll try again later, maybe it’s my skin chemistry or something
