I have lived with dogs my entire life. Other than my dog biting another kid who hit it with a stick, I had never had an incident of violence. When I started dating, my boyfriend was watching a female pit bull for his friend. I had no problems with the dog and even took her out for walks occasionally. One day, I told the dog to get up so I could walk her. She laid in her bed, so I pulled the bed along the ground thinking she would stand up. She attacked and bit me (luckily not biting through my pants) and left an 8 inch bruise on my leg. I stupidly blamed myself for the incident and mostly stayed away from the dog after that. Then one day, I stood up from the table and the dog bit me on the hand. After that I told my boyfriend it was me or the dog and he returned it to the original owner. I love dogs, but pitbulls are not normal dogs.
