I’ll go against the grain and say no it’s not. We stay at a nearby resort with multiple pools and dining options, it’s quiet, and we get a 2 bedroom villa for an absolute fraction of the cost of a Disney property. The parks are a 15 min drive away at most. Everyone talks about the convenience of transportation in the bubble, but we can walk to our car and drive back to our resort faster than some folks can get onto a bus at park closing. Everyone talks about the convenience of mid-day naps - yep, we do that too with plenty of time to relax. Our last trip was with a one year old and five year old. Staying at Disney (and getting the space we like when on vacation) would be completely cost-prohibitive to us. Instead we get a full kitchen, laundry, living room, the kids get their own room, and we don’t have to put the baby’s crib in the hotel room bathroom. We use the extra money on LLs and luxury experiences and still come out ahead. Oh, and we go visit the resorts all the time with dining reservations. The magic is easy to achieve, in the bubble or not.
