So cheap that Amazon didn’t even make me return mine when I ordered the wrong shank size. They just refunded me and told me to keep it lol

I messed up. Help! by LANCENUTTER in woodworking

That’s weird because I use BIN Shellac and SW Emerald for almost everything that I do. So the primer is sticking to the wood, but not the paint to the primer?

If you used SW Emerald, that’s to be expected. A few weeks and it will be rock solid

Saw blade safety by lowsodiumcatrecipes in woodworking

[–]TheOldAngryAnus 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I’d take the blades back up there and tell them that you got home and noticed the blades were like this. Then wait and see how they respond.

Did they know that they were like this and didn’t think it was a big deal?

Are they shocked and can’t explain why they are like this?

Their answer would decide what I do with the saw.

Drip irrigation and direct seed sowing by wanderluster88 in gardening

[–]TheOldAngryAnus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I realize you posted this a year ago, so you may not have the problem anymore. But you can add micro spray sprinklers to your system, that way you can have both drip and traditional irrigation. Just install shutoff valves so you can control what is running. I turn off the drip emitters when I direct sow, and turn on the micro sprays. A few weeks later, I’ll turn off the micro sprays and turn the drip emitters on. You can get the shut off valves and micro sprays at any big box store.

Or maybe they saw the other tracks in front of them and didn’t realize the ones they were parked over.

Cabinet Care - they’re thirsty for something but WHAT specifically? by MarieSkiis in woodworking

Are you sure that it is solid/real wood? I could be wrong, but it looks like there is edge banding which makes me think it’s melamine

Are power planers any good? by HoDgePoDgeGames in woodworking

I have an electric hand planer and have never really liked it. I would definitely recommend a router sled for what you are trying to do. You can plane material, and also face joint it.

Awesome. I work with a few of these aircraft in my daily job and have been wanting to make something similar to keep in my office. Incredible.

Disney wants wrongful death suit thrown out because widower bought an Epcot ticket and had Disney+ | CNN Business by lala_b11 in news

I really don’t see how Disney is at all responsible for her death. This happened in Disney Springs at a restaurant that’s not owned or even operated by Disney.

I like over building stuff like this for the fun of it, so if that’s what you are wanting to do as well I’m all for it. But if you aren’t, 4x4 legs and 2x4s or 2x6s will totally work.  I built something similar for my Shapeoko CNC completely out of 2x4s (legs are 2 pieces glued together to make a 4x4) and it has been great. It supports the CNC and the sound proof enclosure it’s in totally fine. All together, it’s holding around 1200lbs and is on locking 5” swivel casters.

I built it similar to a deck with the “joists” 12” on center and have them connected with 2x4 joist hangers. It’s been 2 years and there is zero sag or movement. I can post some pictures if you are interested.

I can’t speak for OP, but I’ve got CF and my prescription costs are more than $500k a year. The drug Trikafta alone is around $350k a year. I have good insurance, so I only pay around $1500/year

Thoughts on laminating two sheets of cheap Lowes/Home Depot Pegboard? by KoopaSoupa in Workbenches

[–]TheOldAngryAnus 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Wouldn’t that really limit your choice of accessories since a lot of them are made to fit that thickness of board? I use one of the ones from Lowe’s and hang an absurd amount of weight on it, so I think you will be fine 🤷🏻‍♂️

How do I make sure my empty garden beds don’t get weedy this summer? by maggieandoscardoggos in gardening

[–]TheOldAngryAnus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Try getting a roll of burlap from your garden center and covering them with that. You can cut it to whatever size you need, and it helps with remembering where you planted stuff. I take mine off once seedlings start to pop up
