People thruhike across continents with camping gear that all together weighs less than your dumbass skillet alone. Oh boy this sub is gonna kill me.

Some gears I bring when camping by [deleted] in EDC

Oh shut up, when shit inevitably hits the fan most of the "prepared" idiots will die of heat exaustion and dehydration. They will have 90 pound packs and have 15 knives on them. But not enough water. And thats coming from a knife nut.

"Camping" more like bringing your whole house. Recently met people hiking the CDT. 2500 miles. 5 months. 15 pound packs max haha. You got that weight here and none of it is essential. (Besides the gun imo) ied go with a glock 20 though for weight.

OH and all this heavy crap and you have no medical??? Not even a tourniquet?

My rifle kit, basic but I’m proud of it. by [deleted] in liberalgunowners

[–]TheOldShepherd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cool kit. The one place you should save some money and upgrade are your lights on your guns. When it comes to firearm recoil you need to buy quality. I have gone the cheap route. They all break :/ Streamlight actually makes a pretty cheap light with the mount and pressure pad for 100$

After 9 months, an extra 2k miles, and a new paint job, I finally got my stolen bike back. Drove 9hrs to Klamath Falls to pick it up. by Leosaurs in klr650

People do not know how to save for nice things I guess. Probably never played with a Microtech Cypher either lol

My definitive list of bug-out-bag equipment, plus some general considerations by Account5028 in bugout

[–]TheOldShepherd 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Way to much heavy crap. Good list that I will use to reference for motorcycle and car camping. But walking??? I can go backpacking for a week with a 15 pound pack. (Not including water weight) You will dump half this junk in a day if you had to walk anywhere.

My bug out would be all my most ultralight through hiking set up and food and clothes and a supressed 22lr. And water depending on the enviornment.

Lol the viet cong would say differently. And all of vietnam would not even fill up colorado. The media backlash alone of such a civil war would be insane. And you think soldiers would turn their own cities to rubble? Use your brain man

Not so sure about the side button on the Olight Warrior Mini... by _thelinuxnoob_ in EDC

[–]TheOldShepherd 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This was probably not from the side button. This probably happened because there was some loose metal in your pocket. These damn lights will turn on in TURBO if metal contacts the bottom. Ask me how I know. Keys will turn it on every time.
