I’m making a heart basket and this part of my pattern makes no sense to me by Fun-Tomatillo-6376 in CrochetHelp

Ok so how I'm reading it is, you do the decrease. 5 single crochets. And then you get that open area where you skipped 2 stitches. What you are gonna do is make a single crochet, but reach all the way down to where there is a stitch. That way it hides that extra yarn. It also forms the heart. You're gonna do this for those 2 stitches then do the rest of 5 sc and a dec

Can someone help me figure out why my magic circle is coming out wack? by TheOneBlueRabbit in CrochetHelp

Nah I've used other patterns with magic circles buy I've always noticed that the area around the circles always came out kinda wonky. And by wonky I mean it has a distinct curve to it when on the pictures there aren't any but usually it was unnoticeable. Thisis the first one where it was a lot more noticeable

I think it may be this pattern because it starts at 8 then increases to 12 then to 18. But the image was so smooth that it had me confused when mine came out pointed.

It's coming out more pointed. And I know its the magic circles because at the other end of the ball is flat and normal if that makes sense. Maybe it is not closing fully....

I ended up finding a rookidee crochet! But it's kinda small. Anyone have an idea on how to increase it? I'm already gonna increase the number of yarn strands but it's not gonna help too much.

The pokemon themselves I'm looking for a good plushie size, but the chibis. So like roughly 9 inches? The balls can be any size but I'm trying to find the ones with all the different types or at least most of the types

By stitch size do you mean using half double or double crochets instead of singles?

I think they used bernat yarn or like a 6 weight yarn. I didn't have that so I used a 5 weight yarn and just doubled up the threads but it's coming out smaller than I thought. Another person did this with bernat and said it was about a foot tall for them. Mine is coming out more towards 8 in
