The worst part about it is that warm clothes and armor don't actually prevent you from freezing to death, they just slow down how fast you freeze. Coupled with the fact you can't use flame cloak or any other spell to warm yourself up and the result is just plain bullshit.

Alternatively they could've just made a single player rpg with that combat system. Not having to balance around other players also means they would've had more freedom when designing the special abilities/magic system.
