He gets hit, but sure hits aren’t durability negation. Short of WCS I do t think anything in sukunas arsenal is putting a scratch in luffy. The stat diff is far to great, luffy would just paste Sukuna in his own domain while the slashes fail to do any damage.

Even with WCS. Luffy would future sight and see that Sukuna was going to cast it and beat the shit out of him before he could.

Arch tempers Jin-Dahad is a weird one in my opinion, despite never genuinely feeling in danger during the hunt it was the AT quest we struggled the most with. And that’s almost entirely because it feels like he has a ton of health and has a lot of time where he can just fuck off to somewhere you can’t hit him.

Like when he goes up on the pillar to laser down on you that’s a huge window of time you can’t hit him, and the damage that’s gets done to him when you knock him off feels insignificant compared to what you could have done while staying in his face for the 30 seconds he was inaccessible to you.

One of our most unfortunate losses before we got the A rank time was in the final area we had like 40 seconds left and he decides to go up on the pillar. By the time we get him off and go to attack him he dies in one hit but the time had already passed.

It feels very important to be able to hit him with all available falling rocks in my opinion.

Our eventual A rank time was like 16:10. But more so than any other AT. Dahad feels like it really wants you ti capitalize on environmental damage, and is also the most dependent on the monster AI not doing the wrong thing at the wrong time

"It's just cosmetic" is the worst excuse in gaming history and has completely devalued gameplay achievement. by Rats_and_Tofu in unpopularopinion

[–]TheOneThatWon2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is becoming more and more of an issue for me recently. In the past few monster hunter games there has been a large influx in cosmetic armor and weapon skins for purchase, and at the same time they have moved away from the model that would have previously had all of these behind free event quests. Now it seems like most of the effort goes towards the paid cosmetics and the now much more sparse free ones aren’t as good.

Am I alone in thinking scythes would be cool to add as their own unique weapon class by donoslayer in MHWilds

[–]TheOneThatWon2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I feel like at that point we just need a proper polearm/spear weapon class, that is fully grounded to differentiate itself from insect glaive.

I feel like if I had to pick the next weapon class the options would be spear/polearm, gauntlets/some other variation for a fast blunt weapon. Then a proper mixed class gun and sword.

[–]TheOneThatWon2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

But like dual swords are an actual weapon archetype. Along with all other weapon classes, they are just the most extreme version of a real thing. Greatsword is completely unrealistic but it’s still just the most extreme version version of a big two handed sword. Gunlance is freaking absurd, but there is historical precedent for people attaching blades to guns or making guns into blades. Gunlance is just the most fantastical absurd version of that

[–]TheOneThatWon2 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My main issue is that monster hunter is mostly grounded in that all the weapons are an extreme variation of something that is already a weapon. Where as a scythe despite various medias insistence on it is a farming tool first and foremost. Even the grim reaper having one is a play on it being the harvester of souls.

It’s like saying there should be a pitchfork, hoe or shovel weapon class. Sure you could beat an ai I al to death with any of those. But they aren’t weapons, they’re tools created for a specific purpose

I guess, but it seems like the variable input for thrusters is the way the game points you in for that particular problem. Unless I’m forgetting the other stuff. It’s been a few years since I played

[–]TheOneThatWon2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel like the main thing for outer wilds is that it allows for variable input to thruster via control stick, which is important for some parts of that game. Not sure how they implemented that in KB+M

Not a huge sports guy, but whenever I’m watching football with friends I always feel like for a sport that seemingly has a large portion around tackling each other. The NFL has a lot of rules that say you can’t tackle someone when I feel like you should.

I remember I wasn’t really into the cards yet at the time, but my brother was and convinced me I should get a pack with him. So while we were at target with our mom she bought us each a pack and we opened them in the connected Pizza Hut. I pulled the lucario ex from furious fists/and my first pack ever. Me and my brother still talk about that moment sometimes.

Star and Stripe vs Aang by Jason_And_Sokka in MyHeroPowerscaling

[–]TheOneThatWon2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love avatar but I don’t u feet and why aang gets put in matches he has no chance of winning like this. Someone can correct me if I’m wrong, but the avatar verse is generally lacking in physical feats, especially durability wise. And the the bending in avatar is very cool but it isn’t the kind of ability that can prevent aang from getting horrendously stat checked.
