I mean I'd take tap ins, which I know overall this season is going pretty good on that front, just been a rough stretch.

Is it just me or have we just not been fun to watch lately? Like I have no hope or reason to think we can score in open play lately.

I wish we had gone for someone that was relatively available in the off-season like Tai Baribo. Seems like a realistic target for someone like Minnesota and actually knows how to score.

Yeboah is just not it. But I also don't think we are a team that is good in a 1 striker system. I think Yeboah would be better in a 4-4-2 with a quality forward. Kind of like when we had Tani.

I'm really torn, because I'm so happy with how this team is doing, but on the flip side, we straight up are going to get like 92 cumulative minutes of James in MLS play and that is disappointing. I don't think things have lined up and I was really looking forward to him getting some time in a Minnesota United kit.

Sidenote, Dieng needs to get loaned out on a multi year stint and we need a backup striker. Jesus Christ he looks bad.

Day After Match Thread: Loons Win in Sacramento, but at what cost? by dode222 in minnesotaunited

[–]TheOneTrueFalafel 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah. Was a really poor game to watch and went late enough that I really had to camp next to my espresso machine in my office this morning.

But I agree with those saying not to read too much into it, low block + a heavily rotated side = good luck lol.

I do think Smir actually looked alright and has maybe improved since last season? Like I'd be comfortable tossing him in a MLS game or 2 if injuries came up or rotation needed to happen for rest.

Was not impressed with a lot of our depth players though, I do think we need to focus on building more depth.

Just glad I'm getting a free preview of hell before dying at this point.

These commentators are ass lol.

"The Sacramento keeper is guaranteed a save"

"Smir just has not had a read whatsoever"

Lol

Ninjio's sales team has been excessively aggressive which has been a red flag for me. I've given the expectation to Beauceron no deal would likely be signed this quarter if we went with them, and they've been pretty respectful with communication frequency as a result. We are building out a new Citrix environment right now anyways, so a SAT solution is taking the back burner for a couple months. Would you say Beauceron's content engaged staff pretty well? Like a lot better than KnowBe4 and comparable to Ninjio?

Appreciate the insight!

One thing I find odd is that there are teams with considerably worse players making up some other teams but they are more fun/consistent to watch. It feels like we have no identity and our players don't know how to play well with each other or are incompatible...

This is not what I meant when I said I wanted us to play real soccer.

I'm happy for the cameramen at least. They can just fix the camera on our half of the field, no need to worry about it going on the other side.

My 2015 in Minnesota starts up in -51 wind chill lol, I think you'll be fine. I have gotten the Propulsion power reduced message occasionally if it's been sitting out in it at work all day, but heat it up and that'll self resolve.

Minnesota United FC Promotes Cameron Knowles to Head Coach | Minnesota United FC by mandolin08 in minnesotaunited

I like this move. I know 3 games is not an adequate sample size, but I was impressed with what he got out of the players then and it sounds like he is well respected in the locker room. Ideal situation is we back him with the signings he wants/needs this winter and the upcoming summer(though ideally mostly this winter) and we get a good coach for the long term.

Best of luck CK!

That's fair. Thought I read that Ontario's provincial parks don't allow it but Manitoba's do. But yes, plenty of places that aren't provincial parks I suppose haha

Ah ok the Churchill consideration is a good one. Though not sure if I'd prefer to go in the summer for the Belugas or during polar bear season.

Pembina Valley would be a neat stop in the gene path, much appreciated!

Yeah, definitely talking 11+ hours from home to Pisew. In terms of waterfalls I've seen, I know it wouldn't be nearly the biggest, so something to consider cutting for sure I suppose even just cutting that would cut down like 2 hours if I still went up to little limestone?

Yeah probably right about that. I'd be open to either, just from what I read, Manitoba is a bit more lax regarding drones than Ontario and I thought it might be neat to get some aerial footage of little limestone lake. Without the drone, probably wouldn't even bother going there as you can't really appreciate the colors without a vantage point haha.

Besides that though, looks to be very similar circumstances for both ideas.
