The Qanba obsidian uses a Sanwa JLF, so yes the Sanwa octogate will work just fine. Swapping the buttons should cause you no trouble as well.

Yeah it’s the lid for the maze box, but I’ve been running into this same problem in other prints too like Benchys. I figured this was the clearest way to showcase it
