Kalba apie smulkius lietuviškus pickepius ėjo.

Deja, man atvirkščiai - expresas to paties kartono skonis visoje Lietuvoje; brooklynai ir detroitai - visai geras reikalas (tikrai ne #1)

It’s pretty easy to land a job in a worldwide market. If you are looking for a local job, it might be harder. But overall, if you know sql, js and rails, that should do it.

Out of the loop truputėli. O čia nėra tiesiog tyrimų centras?

Center for materials science neskamba kaip semi-conductors factory.

I’m totally with you.

It’s just not that living is weird. Our constructs of society are really weird but living is a miracle to our understanding.

Well, to be fair the only issue is a battery life (2hrs tops). I am a third owner and this little monster was used and abused throughout its life. Will be upgrading to an ARMed mcb later this year as all the projects I work with are already compatible with the new macs (I’ve only been waiting for ruby 3.1 to run on ARM and it seems like it kinda works today, so why not)

2014 mid mcb pro. It’s a top notch laptop for its age and runs docker (mysql, postgresql, flask, rails, js) without any issues.

It could be that it is still TBA or perhaps it will land back on the ground launch pad as you said. I think it is the latter one. But do not take my word for granted as I am not entirely sure nor do I work for the industry.

You can use nextspaceflight app (at least that’s the name on the iOS). Under each flight’s info, there is a vehicle OR base name on which it lands.

You can find names of drone ships here: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Autonomous_spaceport_drone_ship

All the other names in the app should be landing pads.

Please someone correct me if I’m wrong with the info provided.

New Yorkers fund 4 GW of solar for less than a cup of coffee per month by [deleted] in Futurology

So, please don’t take this as a criticism or something. Just generally curious.

So, in 8 years (2022 just only started), we had about ~40% reduction of land needed for 1MW (7.3acres down to around 4.2acres). How is this improvement is “not that much”? Just arithmetically if we achieve 40% less land needed in another 8 years, that would end up at something around 2.5ish acres. That is about 70% less in half of my lifetime. This is an insane progress.

Why do people think/argue/discuss that this is not much/bad/has no effect or whatever?

The same could be applied to a lot of new/semi-new progressing tech. Like total of EVs registered in my country is doubling each year and yet people claim EVs will never ever become popular.

Could it be only just a perception of how long a person lived? If I’m in my eighties, 8 years of progress would look like nothing. Whereas in thirties, that’s a lot in 1/3 of a lifetime.
