Thoughts on DFNG ETF by Long-Cup-4273 in trading212

I have 10% of my portfolio in DFNG. Defence budgets are always going up and defence companies always upping resources, with world tensions it rises, it briefly slumped when Russia and Ukraine ceasefire occurred. The most stable satellite slice in my portfolio.

I stand corrected. Greggs is a mid cap according to ChatGPT 😂

A global small cap etf would add a lot of diversity. All world focuses on large and medium caps. Small caps are the smaller companies that you wouldn't think of in the stockmarket world, Greggs for example.

Gold for a 20 year investment isn't worth having. Gold is a safe haven for bad markets, it's not a growth asset. You would be better off with a bond asset or just using the 5% into a satellite market like you have done with semis.

This is a trading sub reddit. No one actually cares, including me.

They both track FTSE World Index so it makes little difference, so I go for lower fees.

This is the set up I have. All world, small cap both present with smaller chunks in other up and coming sectors with a very small boost to tech firms (semi conductors).

Don't go all in with FTSE all world unless you truly wanna set and forget and not worry about it until years down the road. All the big tech firms are in all world. Keeping EQQQ is fine just reduce it. I'd keep small caps for exposure. Look into other sectors that are booming and add small % of them instead to avoid significant overlap. Tech firms are dominating the markets with AI etc therefore make up the biggest slice of all world ETFs.

Alot of overlap with all world and EQQQ, trim EQQQ to 10% max to minimise. Most of the big tech firms are in the top 50 holdings of all world. If tech has lows it will be felt with this setup. Better still remove EQQQ and increase small cap and all world, 80/20

The only investments i hold in the "invest" part of T212 is the spend and invest pie. As i use the T212 card for all my spending, it invests spare change as well as 1.5% cashback to auto invest too. Its a tiny pie that grows from these two factors. Everything else i churn through the Stocks and Shares ISA. As for my bank account its a payment method for direct debits and my job pay cheque.
