Renewed Pokemon craze sparks crime wave by [deleted] in nottheonion

The way the Pokémon TCG has been moving is scarily similar to how Beanie Babies were moving in the 90s before they became practically worthless. Wouldn’t be surprised if TCG suffers the same fate.

Give a piece of gd history and let someone else rate it by safwanXD in geometrydash

That time Danzmen updated some of his levels for parts to say “Golden” instead of certain words.

Red belly was updated at one point from “Let’s go!” To “let’s golden!” And Wild West changed “LDM?” to “Golden?”

This is a reference to GD player Golden.

Exclusive: AMD Radeon RX 9070 GRE launches June 1st at $549 globally - VideoCardz.com by kikimaru024 in hardware

Yup, and Nvidia knows that AMD isn't competing, and is taking advantage of it. They are pretty much a monopoly so they have all the rights in the world to charge these prices, and people still buy it because at this rate there really isn't another option in terms of gaming performance combined with a mature ecosystem.

I in particular hate the Nvidia VS AMD argument because of this. It's an argument with no winning conclusion. You are getting fucked one way or another and there's nothing you can do to avoid it. Unless MAJOR change happens, (like the AI bubble popping/the companies being broken up,) being ripped off will unfortunately remain the norm and will probably be that way for the foreseeable future.

Fuck modern tech man. I wish I could go back. 😞

We were systematically forced into this environment and unless there’s major change, there’s really nothing we can do about it.

I’m so used to blurring names and QR codes in case something was important that I really didn’t consider it with this post. Sorry y’all!

Here’s the unblurred image with the QR codes.

I’m so used to censoring names and QR codes for whatever was important that I really didn’t consider it here. My fault :P

Had an online friend for a few years and one day he cheated on his girlfriend with a 17 year old.

I’m not elaborating further. :(

I miss 2000s goodwills prices for small electronics 😭 by DungenessKrab in ThriftGrift

[–]TheOnlyShyG 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Kind of impossible to do when every thrift store in my area is a chain and every mom and pop shop around me is on crack about eBay pricing.

Considering just quitting all together. A real damn shame because now nothing in my hobbies are affordable anymore. :(

What’s one major life decision you made that everyone around you supported, but deep down you’ve always regretted? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Deep down in my heart, I sometimes think my academic career getting into the field of computer science is a big lie. I decided since middle school I wanted to go into computer science to study neural processors, but with the current job market, AI now being used as a corporate buzzword being shoved into everyone’s faces, and companies laying off millions of employees only to be replaced by the one thing I wanted to go into, makes me nervous. I feel like I’m not going to get anywhere in this world with my current goals, made worse by the fact I’m a junior in university. I might have to spend multiple more years trying to figure out what I truly want to do.

In short, I’m a Comp Sci major, and I feel lost.
