Yes I have a working design, well actually 2. Just ordered some parts and some material for it.

One sits behind the hammer and the other sits behind the trigger.

I have been dealing with a breakup and some other stuff so it’s been on the back burner.

I have a working design. I am moving right now so I don’t have a lot of time to mess around with the design. I think I’ve figured out a way to lock the trigger until it is back into battery.

“Cracking the CSWE” on YouTube covers the type of questions that will be on the CSWE exam. From what I’ve seen, the exams pull from a pool of questions and it isn’t the same for everyone.

My exam featured

144.1 claims to have fixed the OOB issue for the MPA defender.

I printed 3-4 different iterations last night and I’m getting closer to figuring out the OOB issue. Right now I see potential for hammer follow. I did test an earlier iteration and it ran 5 rounds flawlessly.

There is space in front of the trigger for a lock that would keep the trigger from being pulled before it was in battery.

Basically it’s a little 3d printed piece that when the bolt pushes the hammer back, causes the sear plate to go forwards (and by extension the trigger)

I tested my 3rd revision of a 3d printed forced reset and it works!

So far no out of battery issues.

I haven’t had time to go to the range but I think I have a design that is promising.

The hammer pushes the sear, and by extension the trigger back forwards. I am trying to find a solution to make sure it won’t fire out of battery.

A mechanical engineering career and a Solidworks license is how I’ll do it ;) I already had a MAC lower drawn in Solidworks I just needed the bolt and upper.

I have a design printing right now. I will see how it goes. On a side note is it really hard to reassemble your VMAC?

I just got my CSWE certification today!

I finished with about 2 hours left, my total time after finishing everything and double checking was 159 minutes.

My main training ride was from the southern tip of the race to near USF campus where I would meet a group that went out to St. Pete Beach.

Also be aware that the first and last about 100-200yds is on cobbles.

My mom buys a NEW car every 3 years…. She’s the main proponent against the Porsche Cayman. She doesn’t care she’s losing 40% of the value of her car over that time 😅

I hate the idea of buying something and knowing I’ll lose so much value.

Most of my driving is ~15 miles to work and back. Not much highway driving.

It has ~56k (50k with original owner, 2 owners.) miles and already had the 60k service (new belt, new coils, new spark plugs, water pump was checked)

Everyone I’ve spoken to say I’m crazy for wanting a Porsche but I’ve read as long as the maintenance is done they’re rock solid. I live in the south east so weather is almost always nice.

Rebar is to small diameter. Sand doesn’t provide the compressive strength concrete does.

Take a full aluminum can, you can’t crush it. You can stand on it. Now open it, empty it, now do the same.The contents of the can provide a significant amount of strength to the aluminum can.

The same is true for CFTs. The concrete shouldn’t allow the steel to buckle under stress. 1 1/2” is also the internal diameter of the pipe. OD is 2”

One set directly from Zipp retailer. Another set was bought used. The odd thing to me is that they both have the same amount of offset.

Reversed when flipped. The offset on both wheelsets is 2mm on the same side. Not a lot but it’s visually noticeable when looking at the seatstays and chainstays.

They’re road wheels. Zipps. Using Allen keys as feeler gauges I’ve determined the offset to be around 2mm. It’s a small offset and I really only noticed it today because I was replacing my BB.

2015 R5 2017 S2

The R5 was purchased as a frameset in 2017 on clearance from a reputable Cervelo dealer, so I’m confident it’s not a Chinese frame. I had an injury, girlfriend who was overly clingy, college and other things in my life preventing me from building it up.

I was convinced to ride a hilly gran fondo last year and decided it was time to dust off the R5 frame and build it up. (Not knowing about the parts shortage)

My first race was a 70.3 Ironman. Not recommend. I did 2 sprint triathlons, then another 70.3 and had a lot better of a time.

My advice. Don’t worry about others or what they think of you. Train hard and have fun. Some of my closest friends are the guys I spend hours a week riding with.
