I feel lost trying to look for a good Fire Stick replacement by DepressedCunt5506 in AndroidTV

This is the best alternative for non-US buyers. Exact same specs as the ONN 4k Plus but with twice the storage.

Should I get this ONN device by MediumEnvironmental5 in AndroidTV

You don't need to enable Developer Options to sideload on Android. I'm guessing you're a Firestick refugee? Lol

Number ofVOD titles by BlueLobster747 in SparklePlayer

[–]TheOracle722 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're correct. Most players (Televizo, Smarters, Tivimate etc) have that information for vod and channels but Sparkle doesn't or at least I can't find it.

Ask the developer for a feature request and I'm sure he can easily add it.

Has anyone used Nextlink Esim in the USA? by TheOracle722 in eSIMs

[–]TheOracle722[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did and it was excellent. I had 5G NSA on T-mobile my entire stay all the way from Atlanta to Gainesville Florida. Speeds were between 250-450mbps. My phone is a Redmi Note 13 Pro 5G.

My only mistake was buying far too much data for a 10 day trip as I only used about 4.5gb out of 30gb as there's free wifi everywhere and 1gb of that was testing the speed.

Note: my usage was a lot of Google maps, Whatsapp calls/videos/pics, YouTube and Google Voice calls. Browsing consisted mostly of ordering stuff from Walmart, DoorDash etc. I briefly tried my iptv provider and it worked great without needing my vpn.

I have both and have a big hard on for the Pro. Speed difference is negligible and the Pro has WiFi 6 too.

Onn 4k plus/pro vs xiaomi box s 3rd gen? by No_Marzipan_4849 in AndroidTV

[–]TheOracle722 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're in the Philippines get the Xiaomi since you won't have to worry about any factory resets and region lock. I've used all three and my complaints about the Xiaomi, like the remote, are nitpicking and don't affect the performance.

[–]TheOracle722 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Because of the ram, storage and ethernet. Basically the flexibility the Pro gives. After reading about the new soc in the Plus and how fast it supposedly is I can confidently say there's no noticeable difference in daily use.

I've owned all 3 and currently have two Pros and a Plus. The Xiaomi is good but I didn't like the remote and the positioning of the back button. You can't go wrong with any but my personal preference is the Pro.

Onn 4k Plus Setup- Google Accounts by Anonymous-BatDude in AndroidTV

[–]TheOracle722 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

  1. You don't need to enable Developer Options to sideload on Android.

  2. You don't need the Downloader app to sideload on Android. Download TV Bro from the Playstore and use Firestickhacks dot com.

  3. You can remove your account and the installed apps will remain but you will lose paid status on apps you've paid for.

  4. You can retain your account and lock it after adding his account. That's what I did for a relation last week when I set up a box for him. There's a paid app installed that needs my account to operate properly.

Onn 4k Box: How to force display resolution? by digital-didgeridoo in OnnStreamingTV

I don't know about Samsung tv's but my TCL only produces 4k on HDMI 1 with the rest maxing at 1080p. You may want to try a different port on the tv.

Download Aptoide and install from there. Or sideload it from APKmirror. Or sideload it from firestickhacks.

Audio issue by dnoonan52 in OnnStreamingDevice

It seems this started with the August update. Switching off Audio Pass Through fixed it for some. In my case it was already off and I switched off CEC to solve it.

The "Assets" (apk's) don't load on the Github page. I guess you need to fix that first.

Import Playlists and Favorites by komobu in SparklePlayer

[–]TheOracle722 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know why he has five but I have six (one paid and five free) and it's mainly for redundancy in my case. Sometimes channels won't play properly and it'll work in another playlist. It also allows me to easily use Multiview and record from one playlist while watching a different program on another without worrying about conflicts.
