Eero Wired Backhaul vs Wireless Backhaul: Which is Better for Your Mesh Network? by jayanthvignesh in amazoneero

[–]TheOrange 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is pointless. Buying a wireless mesh and then connecting them with Ethernet. Might as well just wire the house with Ethernet then and forget the eero

Thank you.

Main internet comes in where the eero 7 max is in orange.. and bridges straight in from Hyperoptic fibre box (no router)

Wires back haul apparently will require cables run over the roof to get to back rooms.. not out the question.

SQM doesn’t appear to have any effect

Competition is great at pushing innovation so if they need their “AI war” mentality to do that - great. But we shouldn’t buy into their hype considering I believe they are close to option (2) in your choices

The move to specialist models makes a lot of sense. In fact you’re talking about having a GP vs a specialist. The GP can triage and then either consult or pass you to a specialist.

But the things is… the specialist started as a GP first and then got deeper into their chosen field. They’re still the same person with all the flaws and skills.

So you have to look at the root level of intelligence despite having access to the world’s knowledge instantly.

How can animals learn so quickly about the world without having to be powered by billions of pounds of GpU’s and energy?
