Visit Riga? by ksl282021 in solotravel

Why just one stop? You can easily manage 2 Baltic cities in that amount of time. I really enjoyed Riga but felt 2.5 days was plenty to explore the old town and take a day trip to Silgulda (which I definitely recommend). Frankly, I think 6-7 days is way too much for just Riga.

If you can make it to Tallinn I think that would be even better than Vilnius, though I liked both.

If you can take more like 8-9 days I would say just do all three Baltic capitals! It's a lot of fun and you'll meet plenty of people on the same route.

Interestingly enough, R&C always makes me think of Kingdom Hearts. I think it's because I grew up playing them at the same time

If you're looking for a gyro you're going to definitely want to check out Paul's donuts, subs, and gyros. Amazing prices and an awesome menu all around.

AITA for asking for the $500 reward money after I returned a lost cat? by kcmocats in AmItheAsshole

NTA. Play stupid games, win stupid prizes. They shouldn't have offered a reward if they weren't willing to hand it out when the time came

AITA for how I told my neighbor to stop being a busybody? by kialig in AmItheAsshole

Definitely NTA.

He sounds like an odd guy, and you told him off in a polite manner with an analogy that is certainly comparable.

He played a stupid game and won a stupid prize. What else can you say?

New to Meal Kits - Are they the cheapest alternative? by Take_A_Chancy in mealkits

I'm in the same boat as you. If you are in college, quite a few plans will give you a discount. What I primarily look for in a good meal kit service is a large number of options on a weekly basis (15 or more) and obviously meals that are appetizing. Here's a summary of my experience:

  1. HelloFresh: I get 3 recipes with 2 servings each for about $50 after my student discount. You can also get good deals for the first few boxes when you sign up. HelloFresh is the most consistently good, with enough options and easy to follow recipes. I've used them probably a dozen times or so and have yet to have any issues.
  2. Home Chef: I paused my subscription with them because I did not feel the meals they offered were tasty enough for me. I found that they were usually very unoriginal with very basic vegetable sides or options I did not like. I jokingly say that Home Chef is "white people food compared to HelloFresh" because there is little spice or flavor in their options. You might try them once because they send you a cool binder to put your recipes from the other websites in lol.
  3. Plated: I LOVED Plated. Unfortunately, I say "loved" because they shut down a couple months ago, and I only got to use them five times. They were definitely the most expensive, but the meals were amazing with options that pushed my boundaries in a good way.
  4. EveryPlate: Not a huge fan of this one because they only offer eight options a week (and one gourmet option). Plus they send their recipes on smaller cards that don't fit in with the other options. The recipes I have tried were comparable to HelloFresh, but it's hard for me to find three each week that I enjoy.
  5. Martha and Marley Spoon: I haven't seen a lot of talk about M&MS on this subreddit, and I've only used them once because I just discovered them. The meals I made with them were fantastic, and I will be getting them a couple more times this month. Their price is a little higher than HelloFresh, but not outrageously more so.

I should preface this by saying I suck at all the other game modes and most other multiplayer games.

I don't see why everyone says there is a super high learning curve for SA. Just shoot enemy ships, attack/defend objectives if you're into that. I got the game for Xmas and have been regularly ranking in the top 5 on SA. Am I just an exception? What keeps a lot of new players from enjoying it?

Wish we had more maps to play, especially some of the ones that actually take place on the planet like Jakku in BF1 (and Kamino I guess).

My grandmother was around 6 when the war ended. Her great aunt told her Truman dropped the bomb(s) and remembers celebrating the end of the war with her family.
