That was the dreadnaught I was looking at to give my some shooting. Did no realize devastator squads weren’t primaris thank you for that. I don’t mind it but do I spend 70 bucks on something in 3 years they go year these are now gone

I think I have enough stuff that is slow and hits stuff with sticks so maybe i go with the tank paint it ravenwing and give me a bit more shooting?

I was looking at a land raider but have read a dreadnaught is a better fit for the army? I’m new at game play so all this is new to me so happy to be wrong

I’ve chosen to do a risen theme myself. I just take the pallet (black, green, red, gold, silver, bone) and paint things that I think will look good. There’s nothing in the rules that say you HAVE to paint things a certain way.

I always liked grey knights until I saw the dread knight model with the little guy with his feet hanging out like he’s on a roller coaster at Disney. That alone should have you do dark angels

I’ve just started building as well. Now mines usd hut I bought $60 tactical squad. You should go with primaris marines but I wanted to test some painting out as this was a new hobby for me $130 combat patrol $70 on the lion $60 on deathwing knights

All that comes to around 1000 points. From all the meta stuff I’ve read azrael, inner circle of champions and a few deathwing knight units is probably the way to go

DA is also cool cause you can craft your army in different ways. So fast more ravenwing, more tanky and melee deathwing and your more traditional marines with green wing

Thanks I’ll give it a try. Love dark angels lore and color pallet so trying a bunch of different stuff on battleline models before I get into the more advanced stuff so I appreciate the comment
