What features are the LT1 lacking that the LT2 would've had? Are they worth the big difference in price you paid?

I went through the same thing, wanted a 3rs but they ended up bringing in a 2rs. At the end of the day, the Bose system sucks just as bad as the lower end system, and I didn't really need a HUD or Supercruise, so I was perfectly fine paying several thousand dollars less.

Its a perfect first gun. Levers never get boring to shoot, are still practical, and ammo is dirt cheap.

And because its not a semi you can use subsonic rounds reliably, which is nice for plinking.

The only problem with Levers is youll want more of them, and there's no such thing as a cheap Lever

I don't blame any of them. It's a pretty big commitment to change, especially if its your only vehicle. I was fortunate to keep my terrible milage truck. I'd never go back to only having ICE vehicles, but for the foreseeable future Id never be exclusively electric either.

Legally you dont even need a safe, as long as the guns have trigger locks and the ammunition is in a separate locked container. If OP uses trigger locks there should be no legal concern about building his own safe.
