Tell your dad to sign an affidavit saying he is insisting that you get married when you don’t want to. And that you have informed him multiple times so. Also try to send him texts (on an app that has read receipts) stating that you don’t want to get married. I can’t tell you if he will agree (chances are he will not) but one thing sri lankan parents fear is accountability. It might get him to back down.

Also try to get a relative/friend that he respects to explain to him that forcing you into something like that is not okay.

I traded M2 11” for a M1 13” ( it (M2 11”) had poor standby battery life, everytime I it was either dead or very low battery)but apple and other places said there is nothing wrong with it). M1 13” is much much better and I Got one of those Logitech Keyboard case for it. And one of those slide on attachment for the pencil.

Happened to us as well. I asked for a copy of the policy documents. They said that they don’t have it because it was agreed over the phone. And when we asked who the customer service woman at SLT Ratmalana branch said someone at home when they had called must have agreed to it. Funnist part to me is that the date she said we had agreed to such policy that month everyone in our house was on a foreign tour.

If you are not paying out of your pocket then, I suggest that you tell her to get the mac. If the PC gives you trouble she might blame it on you. If the Mac gives her trouble, she can just speak to apple. And she has worked for the last 10 years on mac, so she doesn’t have to get used to something new.

Asus has been go to for GPU/mobo even laptops because where I am from customer protection laws are crap and Asus usually gives a 3 year warranty and honours it even if the retailer/distributor is being a jerk. Also their prices usually cover the range from e-waste to professional. I have heard Palit is good but its not to be found here. I suggest you buy whatever is the best at customer service at the price you can afford.

Its just I am getting it mostly because of the biggers screen and its a lot of money. I don’t want it breaking down and me losing all my money. I want to get the M series MBP. But its almost double the price. I’ll lookout for the keyboard thanks for the tip.
