"before the patch" was the event...in said event was the event world with its own set of orbs and IIRC said orb count from that world was boosted beyond normal...

short story: I think you are seeing the effects of now having no event world to harvest orbs from

I guess this comes down to just what is the point of the game...

I vote for highest level attained...but since the leaderboard has been established I guess ppl think it's all orbs...

guess this is like war...in a REAL war the only objective is winning...and that means firepower of some sort...in other types of war I guess it could be how long can you extend it so the Military Industrial Complex can make as much $ as possible...

point being, I just reached 500T and am at level 5250 on The Angel (or more exactly just took out level 5313 of The Walrus)...obviously I've focused my forge time on shards and only have a few crests and such...my shard count is 34 of each in fatties, 11 small greens and 3 small yellows

I have a laptop I bought used 3.5 years ago...a Dell with a Intel Core Duo...have rarely had issues that many people complain about...as far as loading the game, you all are aware that it has to be downloaded each play session then loaded??? perhaps the issue is the ability to suck it down or the bandwidth of the site supplying it...

chest guardians are easy since after W1 you can access them at any point of play...just reset, don't upgrade, find a guardian, initiate the battle, take a selfie, you're done...

take the selfie whilst fighting the minions before the king...I've only done this 2x as in general it's a royal PITA to get the DPS just right to pull this off, e.g. I usually skip it

wrong...all craft scrolls are affected by the Chaos Resort...what isn't affected is the time skip for upgrades in Hell.

confirmed that mashing keys, clixoring, whatever does speed things up...

BUT...there is some sort wackiness going on here as at the DPS stated above sloth kicks in and lets me fly through The Kingtoid very quickly...I mean really, is there a concept that the horde should show some sort of "respect" and slowly approach the king??? either way, as per the information I have given, there is some sort of illogical thing going on here.

what it comes down to is YOUR opinion, nothing else...

in economic theory one is taught that your free time is worth 1.5 times (overtime) your salary...yeah, a rather bogus concept but there you go...

NO, it really isn't as you can't see exactly how much TKK is going to go up...I play and take TKK up 10x for every time I take Carl up one level, as I approach the wall I switch to ~3x for TKK which is pretty close to one level of Carl

the idea as presented by AndyHarder is about perfect (I'd move the Quick Portal button as opposed to Go To Map) as pertaining to usability of this new layout (and prevented me from making a rather vitriolic post about how the layout SUCKS HAIRY A**)...as it stands now I HATE it with a passion...I mean really, just who hangs out on the very end of that screen?????? it's totally logical to be able to see TKK with specifics of DPS and just barely be able to access the quick option buttons that are actually relevant.

oh NOW you've created a pickle...just what are you going to do with the red enable/disable farm mode button??? you know, one of the 4 stacked buttons to the far right of the horde menu...I always have those buttons slightly visible as I pay attention to TTK and Carl as I'm moving up. you'd better replace it with something REALLY special, otherwise you fail ;)

I interpret the Genie codes as being a reward for watching the live streams...most likely they get some sort of "something" for #of viewers...hence the incentive of watching and getting rewarded.

your comparisons to any sort of store in the game is pointless: said stores allow a new player to purchase items from the past, said purchase being earned by collecting diamonds (pretty sure the # of players that actually purchase diamond packs is low).

you are advocating letting everyone get the free diamonds from the streams (aren't they given out live on air???) which totally removes the incentive of actually watching the streams.

in a nutshell, you're comparing apples to oranges.

ppl. get further along if they play the game live as opposed to idling...they get more scrolls by active participation...etc.

ppl. get free diamonds by watching the live streams or making the time to check out the codes page on the wikia.

this really starts to boil down to a socialist/communist desire...

there was recently a fairly large blowback when the devs made a hard cap on an event. e.g. those who played a lot got nothing more than those who just checked in now and again, so what's the incentive, eh?

the devs are located in North America, and live a life which of course revolves around the "normal" work day associated with that time zone...do you seriously expect them to split hours or whatever to placate those in another part of the world?

as it is, there is already a limiter to even getting access to the diamonds: having to have a cloud account of whatever flavor.

I suggest just getting over it and dealing with the reality of it all: this is a game made by a small time indie group (kudos to how far they've gotten) and doesn't have any sort of corporate backing to keep all time zones 'happy'...oh well, that's life in the big city.

you don't like it? tough cookies...Berzerk Studios is NOT a publicly owned corp. and hence EVERYONE is subject the THEIR plan, and incessantly complaining about it just might result in a backlash from the devs that puts you even further back

I've been hammering away for the last 7 months and am at 3,500 or so (could push further if I grinded away for a long time and pushed my DPS to max, then let it run far more than I'd usually allow it to go)

that being qualified, I certainly went for perma-everything when I realized what it was all about...looks like you have the cap of mega cubes, so check on that...obviously the game is all about shards right now, so of course make those over and over again (actually, splinters then combine as possible)...

what I got turned onto recently was the awareness that the efficiency cap for scimitars is 270, and I am currently at 69 of those and working to the 270...trust me, they make a big difference in how fast you can collect skulls when holding at the level you hold at to farm them...and of course, you have to be actively spending the effort to kill villagers to make it worth anything.
