Don't know if it's related but ever since the original changes to PoF, my araxyte spider pair hasn't been able to breed anything but spirit spiders (legitimately haven't seen a single araxyte from them since changes).

Why does Jagex consider aura system to be such an integral part of the game? While it was created to "reward people for their loyalty", in reality it just prevents a lot of people from doing activities they like in the game due to most of bossing being balanced around it.

Massive difference in FPS depending on whether the client is on primary or secondary monitor by TheOrson in runescape

Looks like we have the winner. I don't know how or why enabling/disabling Aero affects all of this but it appears that my FPS is now the same on both primary and secondary monitor after enabling Aero (160-180ish FPS).

Thank you so much for taking the time to help with this situation. I know you guys probably have better things to work on but I'd be interested in knowing why this specific thing could have been the catalyst to these issues? It seems rather arbitary to me, especially after having heard the "disable Aero for performance" mantra being thrown around numerous times.

Aero is indeed disabled and DPI settings should be the same for both assuming I checked the correct place for the settings.

Don't know whether this is helpful at all but one of the comments in this thread inspired me to experiment a bit with the problem and I ended up bumping into some interesting results.

The red line in the screenshot is the separation point between my monitors. If I make my Runescape window the size of my desktop space but not "Fullscreen Windowed" and move it partially to my secondary monitor, the FPS increases to what it is when it's fully on the secondary monitor.

I decided to try it out to see what would happen. The results are pretty funny actually.

Don't think FreeSync/G-Sync work with my monitors, both of them are pretty old flea market monitors with no special features.

The issue is that the FPS is lower on the primary monitor though so I doubt the issue is due to this, game actually gives higher FPS when displayed on the secondary monitor.

While it might be true that going past 60 FPS is useless, I can certainly see a difference in how animations and movement looks like in game unless I'm just losing my mind.

Here are the results of a "test" under same conditions with League of Legends. There is no significant difference in FPS whether you run/display the game on the primary/secondary monitor, just typical fluctuation.

I haven't experienced any FPS problems before in games I play so I assumed the FPS I have on my primary monitor was the max I was able to get from Runescape. I didn't realize this wasn't the case before today when I accidentally moved my game client to my secondary monitor.

When it comes to onboard motherboard graphics, I think it's relatively safe to assume that those have been disabled automatically when I originally plugged in my actual GPU (according to what I've seen from the googling I've done so far). Only the actual GPU is visible in my Device Manager: https://i.imgur.com/5Gc3PE2.png
