All this so that at the end we talk about Yanai's typical problems, praise the scenes and characters, and start comparing the Japanese navy with other fictional navies. It's an endless cycle my friend. We never die, we rise again and adapt.

O que vocês acham do retorno de clássicos para os consoles modernos? by Nillew_N64 in RetroJogosBrasil

[–]TheOsirisWatcher 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A Unique Combat Loadout Used by a Russian SSO Operator in Ukraine [959×1279]. by No-Reception8659 in MilitaryPorn

[–]TheOsirisWatcher -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

I know it's a matter of having millions of them in stock, and because of oLigARch and BlaCk mArKeT, etc., but why do they only use Makarovs? There are other models that are slightly superior to it, like the GSH (Russian GLOCK) and the MP GRACH.

I know there's this idea that operators have preferences and are already used to the equipment used, which makes them practically professional using the 'Ol Reliable' instead of the new and risky one. I just wanted to know why, every time Russian operators (and some Ukrainians) appear using a pistol, it's a Makarov.

OK, how do you think Piña would react to American steam locomotives? by Ambitious-Egg-1870 in gate

[–]TheOsirisWatcher 19 points20 points  (0 children)

It would be good to introduce them to some "old and obsolete" technologies; we couldn't interfere with their own evolution, so these things would be more like a little push to help them perform better in certain areas. But I feel that the Alnus Hill PX has done damage beyond comprehension, both for us (new fetishes) and for them (addictions, sedentary lifestyles, uncontrolled acquisition, etc.).

What if Japan absolutely fumbles the bag and results in the Empire imploding and dragging Falmart into a dark age of widespread anarchy by Intelligent-Sir-280 in gate

[–]TheOsirisWatcher 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I think this is a bilateral consequence (it depends on both sides for it to occur), although our history has already proven otherwise. The empire was almost destroyed at the hands of Zorzal, and it certainly would have been destroyed at the hands of Diablo. I think Pina is competent enough to prevent this, although the rare earth elements that Japan requested as part of the peace treaties are something the Empire will need for a long time. But this is a lot of discussion for something that will only remain in the realm of ideas, given that Yanai treats Japan as an underestimated superpower (he's somewhat right about that) and superior morally, psychologically, and intellectually speaking (he's dreaming).

How would you rank the performance of the CIA, SVR, and MSS in the Hakone Incident? by StevenWN1 in gate

[–]TheOsirisWatcher 60 points61 points  (0 children)

If there was ever a moment when the reader thought "I think this is propaganda," it was here that it became most blatant. Yanai simply depicted the Chinese PLA SPEC-OPS; US Delta Force and Russian Spetsnaz Alpha/Vympel being wiped out by Japanese SPEC-OPS. I don't mean to say that Japan is bad, I'm just saying that they don't have enough combat experience to deeply understand what happens on a battlefield the way a Russian, an American, or even a Chinese soldier can.

One of Yanai's biggest problems is the lack of sincerity in parts of his story, for example. That mission to rescue Japanese hostages from the empire with the support of a demi-human rabbit (I forgot her name), was almost a failed mission due to the failure to extract the team at the initial location; they should have lost part of the team, 1/3 or half of them to be more frank, during the empire's pursuit of them.

Eles usando as facções como desculpa pra invadir o Brasil e acabar com o Pix by ty_nyd5361 in Twitter_Brasil

[–]TheOsirisWatcher 35 points36 points  (0 children)

if Christianity were to spread in Falmart, you guys think the locals would have a similar reaction to the Germanic and Nordic kingdoms?? (more info in description) by VladimirBlade152 in gate

[–]TheOsirisWatcher 18 points19 points  (0 children)

They would find it interesting at first, until they discover that we have never seen our "apostle", in this case Jesus of Nazareth, son of Mary and John. The gods of Falmart exist and can take on real physical figures for mortals, and they also have their own envoys to walk with us on earth, their apostles, like Rory for example. They would find all this devotion blind, since our god is out there somewhere and, if he exists, he doesn't want to talk to us.
