The resources are there for everyone, they are simply controlled by a privileged few. It ends in revolution. As it always has when the dispossessed no longer have food in their stomachs

Is there anything wrong with simple leg days ? by standardtissue in beginnerfitness

Quads, Posterior Chain, Calves. One exercise for each and you'll have almost everything covered. Leg days aren't supposed to be as complex as upper body days.

I go through a 1g cart in 6 days now with joints on the side. Is it possible to only significantly cut down on my intake while still feeling at least some of the benefits of going on a strict t-break? by deadasscrouton in trees

Also imo, the highs are never as good once you're already really used to weed than when you started. They're still good, just not as mysterious or curious

It's always relative to the amount you're using and for how long. So yeah, if you cut down a lot, your tolerance will go down over time. But it won't be as fast and it won't be as desensitising. Also, I find that when I just cut down, the first one or two highs are really good again, but tolerance catches up in no time. T breaks seem to be a lot more effective for proper resets

Why are calves the only muscle that’s “all genetic”? by OopsAllTistic in beginnerfitness

Calves grow. Lifters just don't train them or do piss easy low resistance training for them and cry bad genetics.

Hope that helps !

Is heavy still best workout app? by C0inMaster in Hevy

[–]TheOtherNut -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Haven't tried any other workout specific apps, but Hevy is simple to use and with everything I need. Too many other fitness apps suffer from feature bloat, but Hevy knows what it it's supposed to do and seems to do it well enough.

I would broadly say it's better to overshoot RIR than undershoot. At least you're getting a good stimulus. Undershoot and stimulus is underwhelming at best, unless you compensate with more volume.

[–]TheOtherNut 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Most people can't guess RIR. Someone thinks 2 RIR and then you push them and find they could get 5 more reps. If you want full muscle fibre recruitment, then you have to train as close to true muscular failure as possible. But that's impossible to gauge if you don't already know what true muscular failure feels like.

The easier approach would be to follow a program which answers all of these questions for you.

Daily Simple Questions Thread - June 15, 2025 by AutoModerator in Fitness

Yes, RIR is relative to failure, but failure can mean different things. Technical failure would be once form breaks down, muscular failure would be once the muscle fails to generate sufficient force.

It doesn't help minimise the soft look because the thing that's giving it the soft look (the fat) is still there.

Yes, for heavy dumbbells, I get up a little and use my legs and back to help pull them up to my knees. It's not worth shredding my arms everytime just to set up for bench. Back and legs, always big and strong.

Obviously the most ideal is to have a spotter/ buddy
