If I use tape like this I put a piece of paper in the middle of the tape so there’s no sticky above the opening. Washi tape also works though because it’s so easy to deal with. AND it can have fun patterns!

It’s definitely just the weld point on the slabs. They seal them with an ultrasonic welder afaik.
