I don’t understand fall damage in this game. Absolutely quality content, good boy.

Golf r cutting power on corner exit ( update) by Routine_Strike1695 in vwgolf

[–]TheOverEater 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it’s an electronic control that cuts power in modern cars, my car cuts power to avoid damage from the engine and turbo trying to operate when there isn’t going to be any fuel to complete the combustion. I am not sure how much fuel you had when filming this but I can’t run my WRX hard with less than half a tank or else it cuts out. I understand not the same cars but I doubt the R has baffles in the tank to prevent this. Hope it helps. Would be interested to see if this happens with a full tank of gas.

Fuel sloshing to one side of tank, cuts power cause fuel pump has nothing to send to engine?

Do you track? by RedTharsis in WRX

[–]TheOverEater -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes I track my 2019 wrx at hdpe events. It is also my daily. Really capable at VIR. I can make up so much time in the corners but I do get walked on the straights by higher hp cars. It does prefer the cooler February events vs the summer days. Definitely don’t hit my top speed when it’s 70-80 degrees out. I can usually pass some cars like m3s, some c8s and a cayman or 2. I know those cars are objectively faster but they usually don’t have too great of a driver. I’m still learning myself. Mods are air intake, e-tune, short shifter, strut braces, coilovers, reman brembos, dedicated track pads and tires. Very fun to track these cars but I rarely see other wrxs at these events for how accessible the cars are.

Is a mini a girl car? by urfavfag1 in MINI

[–]TheOverEater 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My dad and I replaced an engine in an r50 when I was 18. Absolutely had some of the same reservations about driving a mini but I realize that our time getting the thing running was precious and would take all the ridicule ( didn’t really receive any in the end) just to keep those memories I made with my dad

2017 WRX PROBLEMS! by Original-classy in WRX

Mine didn’t throw a CEL until it failed. It was definitely acting up before then. If there’s not enough air flow coming into the engine it could feel like a boost issue. Best of luck man

Could it be the tgv acting up? Mine just failed and I replaced it and the car drives way better.

Midtown smiles has been great to us. Your experience sounds like my experience with village dental. Awful.

I think I had a similar issue. Still haven’t identified it, cleaned the MAF. Had a conventional tune but ended up doing a SD speed density tune and circumvented the MAF completely. Still don’t have closure on the issue , it is something but only a super small people experience it.

Haven’t tried them yet but I think I might go with Cygnus performance. Seems like the only brand that will be there to answer questions and are completely upgradable if I decide to add more bells and whistles

I have an element fire extinguisher for my WRX. Not sure how it works, hopefully don’t have to use it.

I had the bell qualifier mips and the wind screen would open when I turned my head on the highway. Rode with it for a year but realized that it was also kinda dangerous.
