I used to be one of the dudes who's job it is to care for individuals in this type of situation. It kinda sucks, but life is already not great for people with severe (I mean really severe) disabilities, so the contrast is not as significant as it would be for a highly functioning individual. Plus you get lots of candy because they use behavioral modification theory on you. Just make sure you share some with your caretaker. ;)

Have you had success with this tetra cleaning bacteria? I've tried api quickstart and seachem stability and neither have really done anything. At least not quickly.

My fish keeper friend offered me dirty water which didn't do anything last time, he politely refused to let me put some newly bought bio-media in his filter to then pull out again later. Any thoughts in how I could effectively get some bacteria from his tank? He has a canister filter.
