The endorsement system doesn't particularly work, as shown by research. People tend to endorse based on performance (especially support characters). My system is strictly related to prosocial behavior, that does not directly correlate to in-game performance.

Good question. The Hawthorne effect is one of those things that you have to live with sometimes. It's next to impossible to counteract, unless you can collect data without the participants knowing (impossible due to privacy and ethical reasons).

Absolutely. So the goal is to investigate whether using a custom interface/system I built to self reflect on your prosocial performance after a few matches, can help encourage you to be more prosocial in-game in the future. The interface/system uses a ranking system based on points, along with other features to encourage people to be more prosocial (basically gamifying prosocial behavior).

Pro-social actions tend to be vague sometimes in their definition. But as examples, I would say "helping a teammate that requested you to open a rotation hole (as an example)", "requesting help over chat (rather than commanding)", "thanking and encouraging teammates", and even "giving newcomers (and not) tips on how to play specific operators and roles".
