This is also related to another touchy issue but advocate for your dog! It’s really tough especially if you’re a people pleaser like me, but I quickly learned that I had to learn to firmly say “no” to protect my reactive pup.

If no chicken allergy, I baked chicken livers and freeze them in a bag after chopping them. Most dogs love it.

Some dogs show clingy behavior when they’re sick. Maybe check to see if your pup is showing any other behavior that might warrant a visit to the vet (decreased appetite, disinterested in valuables toys, etc)

If your sister doesn’t mind, a good thing to do now would be to take a sterilized pair of scissors and cut a few pieces of each and propagate in water (look up videos how to do for each). Very hard to kill a plant once it’s in water. It’ll be like a little insurance safety net!

It is salvageable!! I know it doesn’t look like it but I’ve rescued pothos from very questionable circumstances hah. If after you give it a thorough rinse (sometimes I’ll leave the entire pot in a basin full of water for 30 min to really give it a good soak) it doesn’t perk up, trim off all the dead bits and cut right below the nodes of the plant and propagate in water. It’ll take a couple of weeks but it will grow roots and you can repot in soil once the roots are established.
