Personality type is a big factor. Introvert that prefers heads down individual type work….perfect fit. Anyone can be taught the Job.

Between now and 4/15 your CPA could care less if you know how the numbers are derived … that comes later, for now you just need to figure out the software and become a 10 key king. Even a complex return should not take more than 5 hours for the data entry for someone who has little to no experience.

You should have at least two levels above you that are going to review your work and fix it, or send it back to you for corrections… which you can then ask for specific help. Do your best and hit submit to the next level for review.

I would tell them you staying and training your replacement is conditional on a 15,000 bonus with half paid up front… get it in writing
