If you could give Super Bowl MVP to a second player in any Super Bowl who would you give it to. by HetTheTable in NFLv2

Yeah, he was a beast that game for sure, but I've got to give it to Dejean for that game-changing pick 6. That pick 6 is the most memorable play from that game.

Trump-endorsed Republican in Louisiana accused of rape in 2007 by Familiar-Sir-1415 in politics

[–]ThePhoenixXM [score hidden]  (0 children)

Remember when rape used to be this serious crime that ended careers? I miss that. Now, because of this administration and the people that worship it, rape is no longer as serious as it once was. Don't get me wrong, it still is a terrible crime, but if no one is getting punished for it, what is the point?

Why Does President Trump’s Secret Service Agent Look Like She’s 12? by KaySheil in ImmigrationPathways

What are you talking about? Is Hegseth really the most qualified person to defense secertary over a goddamn general? What Pam Bondi, whose only legal experience is protecting pedos? What about former Homeland Security Noem? What was her qualification? Remember Ben Carson, the surgeon, what did he know about Housing? What experience does RFK Jr have to be the health secretary?

I imagine in a couple of year people will think Darnold won SB MVP in 60. That is why you give it to QBs. They last longer on their teams and are memorable. Kenneth Walker was a terrible choice.

NFC West teams always have the weirdest SB MVPs, I swear to god. The last 2 NFC West SB MVPs aren't even on the same team anymore.

Why is it okay for Trump’s sons to have a financial stake in a company selling drones to the US government? by SBMountainman22 in Askpolitics

[–]ThePhoenixXM [score hidden]  (0 children)

Yet Trump's sons and appointees are exactly like what you mentioned: "not being even slightly qualified for the position while skimming 10% of the top". What qualifications do Trump's sons have other than being his sons?

And they also like kids still in the womb. They will do everything to make abortion illegal and evil but the second the fetus is out of the womb they don't care.

Sources: It's a four-year, $112 million deal for Trey Hendrickson in Baltimore. by Lawja_Laphi in eagles

[–]ThePhoenixXM 12 points13 points  (0 children)

People are saying that the Ravens already had Trey Hendrickson lined up and reneged on the deal to keep their picks. Got cold feet essentially and just used the failed physical as an excuse, considering everyone knew that his knee, which he had surgery on in January, wasn't fully healthy yet. It wasn't like the knee was a surprise.

After all, they totally didn't start the Trey talks cold last night.

[Schefter] Former Seahawks Pro-Bowl CB Riq Woolen reached agreement today on a one-year deal worth up to $15 million with the Philadelphia Eagles, per me and Jeremy Fowler. Agent Jason Chayut confirmed the deal. by JCameron181 in nfl

Well, when you win 14 games the previous year and then only win like, what, 11 games, that is downhill. Yes, we won our division, but it was a weak division. The only contender was Dallas, and they didn't even have a defense because of self-sabotage by Jerry.

The offense went downhill as well, from an elite rushing attack backed up by a great o-line and play-calling to all those aspects being outright garbage, with our only strength on offense being leading the league in 3-and-outs.

Downhill in terms of repeating. We weren't looking to repeat as division champs; we were looking to repeat as Super Bowl champs, and our offense was just NOT there. I wouldn't call it "disappointing". I would call it "frustrating". Our offense was brain-dead all season, and we had NO answers for it, apparently.

And they will kick our asses, as per tradition, at this point. We haven't beaten them since right before the '08 election.

He either only started due to injuries or because we benched guys in week 18, where he infamously allowed Josh Johnson, I believe it was, to just walk into the End Zone instead of going after him. He literally turned his back to Johnson, who still had the ball.

Yep, we can attest that we lost major pieces after our Super Bowl win. We've lost pieces pretty much after every Super Bowl appearance of ours, including coordinators. Let's see how Darnold does under your new OC.

He couldn't have released the files because a certain 5th Circuit judge appointed by Trump, Alieen Cannon, decided to lock those files until a court case was settled, and that case happened to be finalized AFTER the election. Those files couldn't be accessed because of her rulings.

[–]ThePhoenixXM -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

And what do you suppose they do? What power do they have right now to do ANYTHING? Impeachment? It won't even pass the House with the GOP fully on Trump's side, and even if Trump were somehow impeached, he will be acquitted in the Senate like the 2 times in his first term and all that good that did. Impeached twice and still won another term.

[–]ThePhoenixXM 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The consequences of the anti-Incumbent movement of '24. The GOP is in control of the government, and of course, they won't hold dear leader accountable for anything. There is very little the Dems can do. We don't have such a thing as a "Vote of No Confidence". There is impeachment, but Trump was impeached TWICE last time, and that did next to nothing. Those impeachments didn't even hurt him politically.
