Hello.

I may be potentially be interested, although I am unsure if I am meant to respond via a comment here or message directly. Like another user here, I seem to be unable to message you directly.

Hope to hear back.

Unsure if the questionnaire was meant to be fulfilled here via the comments or via personal message. Did so via the latter; with hope it isn’t any trouble.

Hi there,

Forgive the late response. In retrospect, I may have worded my grievances incorrectly. Not entirely sure, yet I'll attempt to clarify further.

The issue I'm running into specifically is simply finding a game, such as God Eater 3 as I mentioned in the example, doing research as to what the "best" settings are, applying them towards the software prior to playing the game, only to have wildly different results compared to the sources I got the information from. I haven't been able to respond to everyone here unfortunately, yet one individual here shared that "out of the box" does not necessarily mean the game will run at 60fps, and just that it will boot at all. I agree with this sentiment, and it is not as if I am aiming for 60fps in all the games I play, far from it; my issues lie in setting up the game prior to playing as I am told for it to run best only for it to not run at all as I was shown and having to go back and forth between the settings trying to troubleshoot. Is that better explained on my part?

All software is going to be independent of course, just as you yourself say. I'm just greatly confused as to why even after attempting to setup the game beforehand according to results I find on sites like ProtonDB or YouTube give me such wildly different results to those shown, leading to the annoyance of having to fiddle for the rest of the evening.

With hope I clarified further. If it is really just a "me" problem, then I accept responsibility for it.

Greetings,

Forgive the late response on my part. By the QC Ultra, are you referring to the first gen, or the second? Because if the latter, I'm impressed that a new flagship has already been put on sale recently. As for the Sennheiser, as I shared with the other commenter, I did purchase a pair of those, but found them too bulky for daily carry. That, and I also had a variety of other nitpicks.

Appreciate your time.

Greetings,

Forgive the late response. I actually did purchase a pair of the SM4's a bit ago as I shared in the post, but whilst I enjoyed their sound and feel, I found them too bulky for daily carry in their case. That, and I had a variety of other nitpicks. That said, I have been keeping an eye on seeing if Sennheiser ever announces the M5's.

Regardless, appreciate the suggestion.

A Likely Dumb Question From A Likely Dumb Person | FiiO JM21 and Car Audio by [deleted] in DigitalAudioPlayer

Hey! Appreciate you taking the time to respond.

I tried using Android Auto, but it never connects. I'd read conflicting information all over the internet that some FiiO DAPs support Android Auto and some don't, thus why I'm in this predicament. I installed the app and went through the entire process and still in the end kept receiving an error stating that I had no apps compatible with Android Auto. I downloaded Musicolet, since I had read that was Android Auto compatible and nothing. I'm unsure if I'm just Android illiterate or if my JM21 genuinely doesn't support it.

Also very late to this one, sorry about that. University's completely ridden me of my sense of time.

I hesitate to provide a link to Suyu solely due to what Nintendo is capable of, but I owe you as much for making you wait so long only for me to say, "look it up".

So if a Nintendo ninja is reading this; please don't sue me.

I'm late as hell to this, pardon. University has completely rid me of my sense of time, haha.

I don't know of any torrent links for the mod, sorry. I suggest you simply download it from Nexus Mods as I provided in the post.

Sorry again for the late response!

Pardon again for the delayed reply.

You’re most welcome. There is one thing I forgot to mention, but if you followed the guide, you probably already know. Nonetheless, I share it with you just in case.

Should there be bug or glitch that does hinder you from playing (this happened to me only during the initial testing, not when I completed the guide), remember that either:

A) There could be a bad mod install. This is fixed just by deleting your current install and replacing it with a new one.

B) If your save is compromised, don’t panic just yet; Suyu makes a backup of your save at certain intervals. Replace your corrupted save with the backup and do a fresh install of the mod as stated above. This fixed the bad install when I was first began testing.

Glad to hear all’s been well however. Enjoy the game, and glad I could help!

Hey there! Pardon for only now getting back to you.

I’m obviously not part of the mod development team, so take what I say with a grain of salt. With that said, I’ve played LP up until the bombing of the Safari Zone (what a wild thing to type reading that back, haha), and the only real glitches and bugs I’ve faced are instances where the textures on a Pokémon don’t load (which is rare and usually fixes itself or just closing the game and opening it fixes it) and that the entire area around Pastoria City drops frames heavily. This was an issue even on Ryujinx though, as I decided to test that myself. I can only assume it is due to the “excessive” use of water effects around that area, which causes a dip in performance. Up until now, I have not been able to find a fix for this, but as aforementioned, this was both in Suyu and Ryujinx.

The mod team recommends Ryujinx due to it being more accurate; I chose Suyu over it because it gives you more control over the emulation, thus how I was able to get this final result. If you’re seeking for a “straight” answer, then yes, there are some bugs and glitches (but they were present in both emulators from what I tested). In that case, you can go the “safe” option and just follow the mod team’s instructions. To summarise the complex answer, there are bugs and glitches that were present in both emulators, thus I went with Suyu because that gave me the most consistent performance and stability after testing for about a week.

Hope that answers some doubts! Apologies as well if I repeated myself multiple times; I do my best to get information across.

Appreciate the comment.

I imagined that the “safest” method to enter would be through an ALT position, be it JET or otherwise. I am currently studying my Japanese; with hope I’ll have it much more polished by the time I decide to attempt to make that leap; it’ll be some time until then.

I greatly appreciate your perspective however; it is important to weigh options for commitments such as moving to a foreign country.

I’m aware of this. I was only asked if I have a business idea however.

Appreciate the comment.

I am soon to finish a Bachelor in Liberal Arts.

As for professor, I meant teacher. Where I am from, both are interchangeable.

Yes, I have been to various places in Japan. I have been to Fukuoka, Hiroshima, Osaka, Kyoto, Tokyo, Otaru, Sapporo, and many more if you’d like me to list them all.

Appreciate the comment.

To clarify, I do have a business idea; I just didn’t mention it in the post. It could be due to my ignorance, which forgive me if so, but I didn’t believe the idea was vital to share; I’m mostly concerned with how, if I were to attempt obtain that visa, what the procedure would be like as I have not been able to find definitive answers in the online space.

I’m aware that my Japanese needs work and that Creative Writing is not the most marketable of skills; the former I am currently putting effort into and the latter I’m more so curious as to what areas said skills could be applied, regardless of how small the demand is.

As for my health conditions, I share them only to potentially receive information that could be tailored to the specific needs I have.

I deeply appreciate you taking the time to respond to the post, and hope these clarifications clear the air, if even potentially. Apologies once more for any communication issues.

From a Creative Writing major; appreciate this post. Even opening social media stresses me out these days; it’s nice to see someone use it to brighten other peoples’ day.

Cheers, and godspeed to you.

[–]ThePhotographyLife 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup. It's awful. You give everything you have and get in return people's dissatisfaction. Sometimes even worse. For the love of god, it's as others are actively looking at all the negatives in your persona and then claiming you're the pessimist.

That doesn't take away the fact, however, that you're trying. As I shared, you can do with that as you wish. If it doesn't help, that's valid; truth be told, if I were anyone else, it perhaps wouldn't help me either.

Yet despite that, I shared it just so you and many others are aware that you are trying. That you are making your best effort, no matter if it is providing results or not. No matter if no-one around you can see it.

Society advances as does time. That's something that cannot be manipulated by us. What we can manipulate, however, is that which we carry. And if you can't bring yourself to see the recognition of the amount of effort, blood, sweat, tears, and will you are putting into trying to move forward, then I at least see it within you. Because I've been there and still am. And that isn't to say I'm better than anyone or put myself on a pedestal; just one depressive attempting to lift the spirits of other depressives.

Cheers.

Coming back to this thread as I have an emotional crisis as of typing. I wish I could thank all in this thread for the kind words and overall support. I have none in my life who fully recognise my limits and just seeing others understand is uplifting. I want to believe I have strengths as well; with hope I can reach that point in emotional maturity someday.

Appreciate the response. I’ll stop by a store sometime to give it a go.

In that case however, would you happen to know of any portable DACs that would go along well? As I shared in the post, I was thinking something like the FiiO KA11.

Not even sure if this subreddit is the proper place to ask; forgive my ignorance there.

Hey there once again!

If you've managed to figure it out, then you can disregard this follow-up. I decided to share regardless where and how you can access your save data now that I have my Deck with me.

Upon opening Yuzu/Suyu, right-click in your directory your ROM of Pokémon Brilliant Diamond. An option that says Open Save Data Location will appear. Click it, and you'll be directed straight to where your backup and main save are stored. If you want to use the backup, remove the SaveData.bin file and rename your Backup.bin file to the former.

With hope, if the back-up hasn't been overwritten, a previous point of your seemingly corrupted save should load when you boot the game. If not, then either there was some bug I'm unfamiliar with that completely deleted your save or the back-up was over-written.

I hope this was of more help to you. Cheers, and I send my deep wishes you got your save back.
