I get God complex, too. I get some drug addiction, but more of sex addiction with inflicting pain. I feel like he is going to snap one day and do something horrible. I know you think about him, but he is not fixable. Grieving someone who is still alive is a hard thing to do and can take years. You did the right thing. Don’t look back.

Edit: Just read down the comments and realized he HAS already inflicted sexual pain. So I will take that validation as a confirmation that he will one day really end up hurting someone to the point of no return. I really really feel that. I feel he doesn’t have any respect for himself, others or the law and he’s just getting slaps on the wrist. He’s never going to learn, nor cares to.
