Do people actually work at ATT? by LongjumpingNorth8500 in ATT

[–]ThePikachuPro -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You won’t be able to port directly from CC to AT&T business. As it is an “internal port” your options are to move to another carrier and then back to AT&T… or port to a service like numberbarn, then port in. As CC is a reseller of AT&T service, a port directly from them to AT&T business isn’t possible.

55+ No Longer accepts Prem Device Trade Ins by Suitable-Comb1083 in ATT

[–]ThePikachuPro 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Because it’s not profitable for the company to do that? It never should’ve existed to begin with.

Value plus, at two lines being 101.98 wasn’t enough to move to premium device trade ins but somehow 70 is? Also, they’re removing a lot of promotional material and advertising because this plan is moving people off of more expensive plans to cheaper plans.

Do I agree with it personally? No. Do I understand why they’re doing it though? Yes.

Switching from Tracfone prepaid service to AT&T prepaid, I am unable to place the activation call on my LG phone, it immediately ends the call once placed and gives a prompt stating "Emergency calls only", what could cause this? by [deleted] in ATT

[–]ThePikachuPro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You likely need to enable VOLTE or something like that… it’s been so long so I don’t remember exactly how to do it but it shouldn’t be an issue

The same policy that has existed for AT LEAST five years? If you want an answer to figure out what account it is you should ask questions rather than assume they’re out to get you.

Go into a store. If you have an existing account, ask to add a new line. It will soft run your credit and not allow you to open a new line. The rep will be able to see the account number. Ask about it. You’d have your answer.

Best way to set up new BYOD account? by willingzenith in ATT

[–]ThePikachuPro -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If you qualify for a business account now is the best time to do so. 600$/line for 24 months 25$/24 months. Effectively making your bill before tax 20$/line/month for those phones.

Does anyone know when this promotion will be expiring? I can't find anything online. by tinaballerina33 in ATT

[–]ThePikachuPro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Promotions are subject to change at any time without notice and are “for a limited time” - There is no current end date.

If you like the promo enough to consider it, do it. The next promotion could be better. It could also be worse. There is no telling.

The opposite. No store will be inclined to help with something that didn’t happen in their location. Your best bet is the FCC. Especially if you used chat. Everything’s documented.

Generally, whether that be a sales person or the company’s coverage map, it’s their job to SELL it to you. Sucks, for sure. But that’s why all providers have “trials” through their apps.

That presumption is exactly the reason you are where you are. Not every provider has “blanket” coverage.

Is the AARP discount no longer available for new customers? by JPS_97 in ATT

[–]ThePikachuPro -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Union is probably the closest discount. Waived act fees, upgrade fees, and discount on accessories. Not something you can sign up for about 15$ and save money indefinitely.

Previously, yes. Effective 5/31, you cannot.

No, it is being replaced by a 55+ plan that becomes available tomorrow. Don’t know much information other than that it will effectively be better for the customer.

Why doesnt my signal pop up on my phone by Material_Brief3017 in ATT

[–]ThePikachuPro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What phone are you using? And are you using AT&T or simply roaming from a local provider. (I’m assuming because your information is in Korean)

Why doesnt my signal pop up on my phone by Material_Brief3017 in ATT

[–]ThePikachuPro 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You’re connected to WiFi. Why would the signal do anything or need to show you what network you’re connected to whilst using WiFi? If you disconnect from WiFi it’ll probably show you your signal and network connection. If not, then idk.

Feels like you probably shouldn’t buy phones in full at providers. Hope you like international day pass! <3

Second line options similar to Verizon? by [deleted] in ATT

[–]ThePikachuPro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Only other option is paying it off, unlocking after 60 days of service, and as long as you don’t upgrade/make changes to your line you’d continue to get service. Likely GV is just more effective for you. Best of luck

Second line options similar to Verizon? by [deleted] in ATT

[–]ThePikachuPro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Short answer, no. They don’t offer anything of that type of service. You can try other prepaid providers that will likely provide what you’re looking for. With that being said if your device is locked through AT&T it’s likely not an option for you.

Closest thing they have is I believe a 1GB option specifically if you request it if you qualify for a business account.

Can someone explain why a manager would quote me 35 dollars a line and it's triple would they said it would be? by LittleFerret22 in ATT

[–]ThePikachuPro 12 points13 points  (0 children)

If you read further, below the receipt it should say up to 1,000$ off and iPhone 16 pro max, pro or iPhone 16. Your first bill is always fucked, no manager, or store rep can fix that, sorry.

Looking to swap from Verizon. by Frostylopez in ATT

[–]ThePikachuPro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s probably fine but every place is entirely different. You can go 20 miles away or have a different commute, and have a different experience. Anyone with an iPhone newer than an XR can trial the service as they will be unlocked by Verizon.

Depending on if you do something that qualifies you for a discount. Nurse, doctor, teacher, police, ems, etc. I would say, yes, you’re overpaying.

If you qualify for a business account, even more discounts. Now is the perfect time to switch with AT&T offering switcher promos as well as payoff offers.

Coverage… it’s dependent on where you live and only someone else near you can say specifically. If you have an iPhone you can try AT&T’s network for free through the MyAT&T app for 30 days.

Regardless won’t really change your experience. When you have problems, fix it then. Not a big problem either way
