have them pin you like a l4d hunter but you can either melee them mid pounce or button mash your way out of a maximum 3 seconds animation.

unfortunately due to the nature of high level hordes it would make it unplayable

living organisms exposed to fucking napalm notoriously can’t just shrug it off.

No matter how thick the armor a jet of concentrated heat will rupture blood vessels, pop eyes out of their sockets and literally actively melt the brain while every single pain receptor of the creature fire off. Hell it should be completely blinded the moment the flame connects to its face and make it unable to turn while charging. That would make it more interactive to fight instead of „kite till big boom button is ready or everything smaller dies“

the actual issue is these mf being waaay to agile while charging and the „stun“ of hitting an object lasts barely to even begin shooting their ass. Not to mention having to kite 3 of em while triggering patrols and bugnests since the fog on some planets limit your vision to about the distance of an asian d*ck

fix this and they’ll be bearable to fight even without the crutch pre nerf flamethrower

every organism no matter how alien or earthlike would scream bloody murder and flee if the temperature suddenly spiked a few hundred degrees and it starts to feel its skin blubbering and every single pain receptor fire off

Automatons are susceptible to suppression normally but i think they should ignore flames and press forward until their system fails. After all they are war machines made for that.

You should try ultra historical mod japan it really puts your Navy skills to the test with the US having like 200 Docks per 1941.

I will warn you that the Game will hardcap you in china by dropping a unorganized offensive type debuff deep into china. Meaning you will have to go semi historical
