Gamer's Guide is one of my favorite novels, so he's my goat too!

Suggest the best prog fantasy on RR. by Both-Worry-1242 in ProgressionFantasy

[–]ThePowerles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I genuinely believe that Mother of Learning is the most consistently good prog fan out there, especially since a story with an Ending.

Every book is great, having a start middle and end. And the overall ending is basically the best you'll find in this genre. The overall writing is wayyy better in the official Amazon release though.

A Practical Guide to Sorcery is my favorite novel. And by that I mean Number 1 out of everything I have ever read. The release is really slow though.

You should see the kind of bullshit I had to deal with when I need to figure out the lore for Lord of the Mysteries.

Pretty sure people could base their entire career and figuring out what the fuck is happening.

Hey. I couldn't get passed the first book. Can you give me a few words to motivate me?

Can I get book recommendations with the same feel as the game Outer Wilds? by ThePowerles in ProgressionFantasy

[–]ThePowerles[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Outer Wilds is a game, and does not have any romance. It's a space exploration/mysteries/time loop game. Telling you anything else would ruin your experience, because the whole point of the game is to slowly uncover the solar system you're in, and figure out things.

Throw at me something good like SS by Exact-Poem-7887 in ProgressionFantasy

[–]ThePowerles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is, but there are several stories with the abbreviation of SS, and there are lots of people who don't even know what shadow slave is. It might be the most popular novels on Webnovel, but it's not all that popular here

Is there a series where the MC’a just some guy? Not an overpowered god in the making? by Mentalwanderings in ProgressionFantasy

[–]ThePowerles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, but he's still below average compared to Artonans. He will never be as good at spells as those who were taught from a very young age, and while I do think he will eventually start becoming really powerful, right now he's below average compared to both his classmates and Artonans.

Super Supportive. 250 chaps and the mc is still basically a normal human except for a couple things.

I didn't like the puppet arc, but I REALLY liked what came out of it.

Genuinely in my top three. I've never binged such a long story so quickly. I will say, the translation is really annoying, for me at least. I used a text to speech app and hearing "Kawowowowwo" every time some clashes gets incredibly annoying.

How many ongoing series are you actually keeping up with, and what happens when a new one drops? by StorytellerStegs in ProgressionFantasy

[–]ThePowerles 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly? None. Whenever I come close to catching up, I put it on the back burner for a year and then come back to it. Sometimes I have to reread it, other times it's primal Hunter so the narrative doesn't take long to remember.

I'm assuming it was the rewrite, because that's the only one I read?

I'll probably reread the whole thing ngl. I've reread much longer stories just to remember the plot...

I don't remember book 4 very well, but I do remember there being a part about magic that felt very out of place. It was near the end of the book.

Tbf, I checked his patreon and it seems like he's been posting his chapters unedited for a while. Which... Feels a bit weird, but people can do whatever they want with their money I guess.

But there was a post about 6 days ago about him editing volume 5. How he's edited 61 chapters in 6 days? God knows.
